Just set up Proton Auth on my 3 systems to replace Authy. Got them syncing. I won't lose that if my protonmail goes down for some reason?
I don't fully understand this site. I've just spent the past couple of hours making sure that the combination of Proton and Nord software is fully operational on my MacBook, my iPhone, and my PC. I note that Auth is supposed to be stand-alone but requires a protonmail account for them to sync... that's absolutely fine as I've had one for years. I'm just wondering will anything catastrophic happen if I were to lose my mail account? Probably not, but it does feel a bit like putting most of my eggs in one basket. Quick query on whether you use Proton Auth for Proton Mail as well
This is just something which occurred to me last night. I'm lazily in the process of migrating all my 2FA away from Authy (primarily because it has no backup function and they've ditched the desktop app which means I'm reliant on my phone only), as Proton Auth is multi-platform and seems prety effective. show disabled alies when login via extension
In some situations, I disable aliases when I receive too much spam from them. But sometimes I have to use these aliases to log in to services, and I need to verify my identity via email. The extension doesn’t show that this alias is disabled, and I don’t understand why I’m not receiving the email.

View password in extra large type
One of the things that I liked about 1Password (on both desktop and mobile) was the option to view a password in extra large type. So if I need to manually type it in (rather than copy / pasting, which isn't always an option), I can more easily see the characters.
Bonus for making different character types (capital letters, lower case letters, numbers, symbols) different colors, so the difference between lower-case-L and upper-case-I and the number 1 are obvious!

A better link between apps in the browser extension
I wanted to open Proton Mail in my browser, and went looking for a shortcut through the Proton Pass extension. I had to make several clicks, searching every screen for a link to the other app. Eventually I found it in the triple line menu > Settings > Little 4 squares icon for Proton apps > Mail.

Extra Password to Unlock TOTP
Okay, hear me out on this one
ProtonPass supports managing passwords and then there is a field for TOTPHowever because TOTP is supposed to be as 2FA, on a separate device, right now TOTP passwords are accessed by the same Proton password as ProtonMail and ProtonPass, which really defeats the purpose of 2FA
We need to shield TOTP passwords by a separate password so that TOTP feature would be unlocked on a separate device (such as phone) and it would not be accessible on the main device (such as laptop) until the password is given.

Why can't I set a pin on certain vaults as an extra layer of security? I keep all my financial apps in Samsung's secure folder behind a 10 digit pin. I was hoping to only have one instance of Proton Pass on the phone and keep it in the secure folder too, but it won't autofill outside the secure folder. Authenticator: Click to show code. Hide all by default.
Currently, android Proton Authencator can work in one of two modes:
1. Hide all codes and never display the code in the UI (even when clicked).
2. Show all codes at all times.But this is not enough.
If you hide all your codes, you can only copy the code to the clipboard and use it on your phone/device. If you show all codes, you expose yourself to over-the-shoulder snooping.

"Create Duplicate" option should create an identical duplicate including attachments
When creating a duplicate of an entry, it doesn't actually create identically same entry, because it strip off the attachments. I have to manually add each attachment, rename every single attachment once again for duplicated entry. Here's an example use case:
If I want to share a secure note with some of attachments after months, I wouldn't share the actual entry. Instead I would create an identical duplicate entry and check every field for validity. It's just plain stupid that I have to upgrade my whole account, just to be able to use more 2FA in Proton Pass! Really bad.
This is a very bad business decision, to force users to upgrade the whole account, just to be able to have more 2FA entries in Proton Pass! I have no use for more Drive Space or a VPN. Paying for something I don't need. But it's an easy decision once my time runs out, end the subscription. Because in my eyes it's not a good fair option.
It's cheaper to create a Free Proton Pass and Upgrade that to Pass Pro! Any logic!?

Proton Pass is missing the feature to filter Passkeys in the same way you can filter on (Logins, Aliases, Cards, Notes, Identitied, Custom Items)

Auto Rotate Passwords
I’ve just seen that Apple’s Passwords app in iOS 26 appears to have introduced automatic password rotation for weak, compromised or commonly used passwords. There’s a brief overview here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/nNagfly9s3Y
I appreciate that, for this to work properly, websites will need to support the correct password-change flow and make the process reliable for password managers. However, with Apple now moving in this direction, I would expect wider adoption to happen much more quickly.
Is this something Proton has already considered for Proton Pass, either as a current development area or on the roadmap?

Option to Limit Autofill to Host Versus TLD
Currently, the Proton Pass extension brings up suggestions for anything at the top-level domain. (toplevel.com) There are situations where there are subdomains that have differing passwords. (subdomain.toplevel.com) It would be helpful to have an option in the browser extension that limits the suggested password to down to the subdomain (host) level.

More Keyboards Controls for desktop app
The current app lacks basic user controls like batch selection with Shift, which has been reported before, so I want to expand it to just keyboard controls in general: you can't manipulate (minimize, maximize, etc) using keys, you can't jump through different pass entries with keys, and you can't even focus the search bar or the edit dialog for a selected entry using a key. Including this support, I argue, is critical for accessiblity and productivity.

"Add as.." to avoid duplicates
When I log in to a website (for example LinkedIn) I copy/paste my login from the Proton Pass plugin titled "LinkedIn" (I use Chrome), after which it offers autofill the next time I visit the website: I want that, so I click "Add".
Problem is that it then creates a new entry with a title "linkedin.com".
Similarly I have now dozens of duplicates called app.xyz.com, login.abc.ch, etc.
There should be the option to enable autofill and selecting the preexisting entry to use. Great work guys, keep it up👍🏼3 votes -
Hide ALL instances of passwords in UI
Using Proton Pass in public is becoming increasingly risky as more and more cameras are installed in every country around the globe. When generating a random password, there is NO REASON to display it (unless the input field refuses to accept paste from clipboard). ALL PASSWORDS in EVERY dialog and popup display should be obscured by default.
As a workaround, I have to move my windows around so that the password field is offscreen while the Regenerate and Save buttons are still on screen. Then, if using the Proton Pass browser extension, my password is displayed onscreen again in the…

Stop multiple entries when updating login for a website
I think there is an issue with login details for a particular website when trying to log in. On my android phone. If I change say my password the app recognises the change and states update details which is good but it ends up creating a new entry with same web etc. Sounds ok until you go back into your app or website and your presented with previous login details because you can forget which is current. All it needs is as it states update existing entry!
