Customize password generator and configure default settings
Generate password generates passwords that are long, Some websites have limits on the length of the password. It would be nice if we can control the length of the password and also the kind of characters in the password(alphabets/numbers/special characters)

Default Cursor Focus in Search Field
When launching the Authenticator, please automatically put the cursor focus in the search field. I believe that’s where most people end up going anyway.

PIN Generator
Lots of services still require a PIN, so I think Proton Pass should be able to generate a secure one with configurable length.

Proton Authenticator: MFA Token Tagging or Vaulting
The Proton Authenticator app doesn't currently have any ability to either "tag" MFA tokens, add them to a dedicated logical directory, or add them to a dedicated profile/vault (similar to the vaults in Proton Pass). This is definitely an area for improvement as searching through possibly hundreds of tokens all in the same logical directory is less than ideal. Please add this capability.

Resizable sidebar
It would be useful to resize the sidebar because the names of the vaults are truncated. Furthermore, with the shared icon, there is even less space.

Move passkeys below core information
Currently in the chrome extension, on each item card, the passkeys are displayed then username, password & TOTP. I used to be able to see username, password & TOTP without scrolling. Now that passkeys are displayed at the top, I have to scroll to see my TOTP codes.
There aren't many scenarios where you would need to manually access passkey info. The core (username, password, TOTP) info is far more frequently accessed.
By moving the passkeys below the core info, information a user needs to copy can be accessed without any additional scroll.

Desktop Security Key Management
When I log into an desktop app with 2FA, I'm prompted to either use a security key or OTP authentication. Since I'm on Windows, the computer defaults to Microsoft's built-in authenticator, which I don't use. Instead, I have to use OTP through Proton Pass since I currently use passkeys only through the browser extension.
Could Proton Pass possibly become the default passkey manager on the desktop level, not just in browsers?

apple watch complication
It would be great if Proton Auth could be integrated as Apple Watch complication. This would allow me to choose at least 2 different OTP displayed as a button (=2 buttons) reachable from 1 touch on the main screen of my watch. Cherry on top: button before to be touched display name or icon, but not the actual number. (Pss: 1password did it ;-p )

Have Proton Pass and Mail share the same structure
Essentially i would like the option to sync Vaults in ProtonPass with the Folders in ProtonMail. This way you could automatically have the same structure in both apps without having to painstakingly configure and check both of them on any change.
(Additionally this could be added to Auth assuming it gets Folders.)4 votes -
proton pass
Greetings,
I suggest that in the desktop application, the new AutoType function be given the option to launch the application or some dialog box where AutoType lets you choose the account or password so that it can automatically type this.
A more dynamic example would be, opening email, I set my shortcut keys as Ctrl + Alt + I and the box appears, then the dialog box appears so I can type the account and press other key shortcuts depending on what I want to auto-complete, whether it's Email/user, password or URL in that case.

"basic auth autofill"
The feature "Basic Auth autofillAutofill HTTP basic auth dialogs with saved credentials." is a bit too extreme. It really tries to already log in. That goes too far. If I have multiple logins per URL, this feature will try many times the wrong password and ban my IP.
It should just work like on Chrome, where the fields of basic auth are prefilled and i can still check what it did and then press enter.
It is also spooky to never really know if a site had the basic auth popup or not, as it is automatic. I don't like…1 vote -
OS-wide access to password vault
I would love to see some sort of quick mini Proton Pass window, akin to the browser extension popup, accessible anywhere from macOS. Especially since Proton Pass can hold much more than just logins, it would make sense to see it available for quick access to that data from anywhere in the OS.

[Browser Extension] Sort by Relevancy / Prefer Domain or Title
When the user visits a website, the extension performs a simple auto-search for the domain.
However, this is a fuzzy search that matches all occurrences in all fields. This means that the relevant domain might not appear at the top of the results. For example, if I visit somemail.com, the search will return all logins that contain the field somemail.com. This includes all websites where this email address is set as login credentials.
With the default “Sort by recency,” other websites can be placed at the top.
This is a problem if you don't use the autofill feature or if…

TOTP View in Proton Pass
Currently, Proton Pass does not have a special view for time-based one-time passwords (TOTPs), a function that exists in Proton Authenticator. In my opinion, a similar TOTP view in Proton Pass would be desirable to get the 2FA codes quickly and easily.

Nix flake
Nix is one of the most secure ways to distribute your app. Please create a Nix flake with linux and macOS support and have it maintained in the app's repo that users can add to their Nix configs.
This would provide the best end to end security, simplify updates and it's a very low effort feature for potentially a lot of new users.
