  1. Download icon from URL

KeepassX has a really nice feature where you can download and set the icon on the item using the favicon of the URL on the entry. Adding a "download icon" button would allow the icon to be set/updated on existing entries.

  2. Upload custom icons in place of favicons

Not every web address provides a favicon. I think it'd be nice if we could upload our own icons in place of just seeing two digits.

  4. Add notification for expiring cards

Credit card items already have a field for an expiration date. It would be great if Pass Monitor could notify me on cards that will expire soon. Ideally this would work with future items that have expiry dates (e.g., licenses, passports, etc.)

  5. Create alias with expiry

Being able to create an alias for use on for example online competitions or surveys, where there is no need to keep a record of that alias or use it again after a certain date. This would help keep the list of aliases in the vault down to a manageable level.
In such a situation of for example entering an online competition, the user could create an alias and enter an expiry date for the alias. The user could then align the expiry date with a date after the competition is finished and winners contacted.
    This feature would be useful…

  6. Absolutely necessary features!

Without these, migrating from apps such as 1Password is NOT yet possible:

    • On the left tab, we can only see "Vaults" - where are the different categories to be easily selected?

    • Attachments, attachments, attachments!

    • a new category "Software Licenses" for specific license information;

    • Documents perhaps? Passport, ID, etc.

  7. Limit suggested passwords, by vault selection

When a vault besides All Vaults is selected, only the passwords kept within that vault are suggested to the user.

This helps with persona management, eg. I'm at work and select the work vault. The suggested password is only my work protonmail account.

Current behavior is that I will see multiple logins for the same site and have to choose between them, when really only one is appropriate since I've selected a specific vault.

  8. ProtonPass Automatic External Encrypted Backup

Given the critical nature of the data in ProtonPass, it is a bad idea for it to exist in only one place. There should be a supported workflow for automatically (time based, change based) creating a fully encrypted export which is either able to be pushed or pulled to an external service.

  10. Search passwords in the extension pop-up window

I use websites that have multiple mirrors and it's really annoying to save each login for each mirror. If we could search for passwords in the extension pop-up window, I wouldn't have to save a new password for every single mirrored site.

  13. Drag and drop in desktop app

It would be neat to drag and drop credentials from the desktop app similar to how you can in 1Password where it types the password in for you when you drag a credential over a field.

  14. Random Email Alias w/ Custom Domain

Currently, when normally using the Random Email Alias feature, it's randomized per website! For example:
    Facebook: facebook.blashpomy29483@passmail.net
    Spotify: spotify.funtime492927@passmail.net

This type of randomization is why it's more secure. If you use a Custom Domain, this option is not possible so long as you have the custom domain linked to your account (thus SimpleLogin account).
    So now, it will be:
    Facebook: facebook@domain.com
    Spotify: spotify@domain.

There should be a checkbox to make it randomized or not make it randomized. As with this randomization (website.word-numbers@passmail.net) it is more secure.

  15. Require master password for selected vault items

Secure Passwords additionally with the functionality: Require master password for selected entries.
If the PC or phone was breached without getting access to the Proton password, this will prevent them from stealing the most important Pass Entries. This functionality is already used by LastPass

  16. Master Password or PIN code asked for specifics logins

Some of the competitors (Bitwarden, Lastpass, ...) have a feature making more secure some logins.
This feature is the possibility to ask the Master password or PIN code for specifics login information. Most of the time you keep your Password Manager open the more you can, and sometimes forget to lock it before leaving your computer alone. The automatic lock is not the only answer to this, cause in few seconds someone can use some of our logins before it locks.
So, with this Master Passord or PIN code re-asked feature we could have this example:

    If as user I…

  17. Encrypt/Decrypt using Security Key (Yubikey) and Password/PIN

Can we please have an option to not have to use only a "Master Password" to encrypt/decrypt our Vaults and instead use a security key like Yubikey in combination with a Password or PIN?

To be clear, I'm not talking about the security key being used in static password mode which basically acts as a HID and can also be compromised using a keylogger, but a real FIDO2 or GPG challenge instead.

A real world example that is technically possible right now:
Your companies IT department for example can remote into your machine, log the password by installing a keylogger…

I would love to have more item types, wifi networks, lock combinations, memberships, software licences, etc

  20. SEND an email using Alias Addresses — Vital Protection for Journalists

I have been a subscriber to Iron Vest (fmr. DNT Abine) for years. It's a relatively expensive service, but having received Death Threats against me & my Family for my Journalistic Work, it has been a necessary one. It allows me to hide my Protonmail Address when communicating with unvetted sources. I can send, receive and reply to potentially unsafe sources. Just like Proton Pass, it also enables me to switch off spammers.

I was really Happy when Proton Pass came along! I have moved EVERYTHING over to Proton Technologies; Emails, Calendar, Cloud Drive, VPN and Passwords! It was a…
