  2. Auto log out of the browser extension

    If we forget to log out of the extension, all of our passwords are freely accessible forever in our browser. The auto pin-lock is great, but it makes all of our passwords accessible by a 6-digits pin instead of our master proton password. Allowing another timer for an auto log-out of the extension would be useful.

    Main challenge is that Codebook allows for an unlimited number of custom fields, which is invaluable.

  6. Fuzzy Search Logins (etc.)

    Example: If I want to quickly find my Proton Account login info.

    "proton account" will not find anything
    "acc proton" will not find anything

    I need to explicitly search for "account.proton" (with a dot) for it to return anything. Being this specific is needed because search for "proton" only will give all entries that have "proton" in them, like "protonmail.com", so many logins, not just the proton account login.

    It's impossible to always remember the exact URL portion like "account.proton".

  7. Capture keyboard when opening extension window

    It would be really nice to have the Firefox extension pop-up take focus from the mouse to the keyboard, like the full site does. It's not the end of the world to have to click on the first number field, but it's a constant small irritant, and I'd love to see it change :) It might be because it's a different "workflow" than using the full site, where I click the bookmark and then more my hand over to the numpad.

    Hopefully this is something trivial that could be quickly changed!

  9. [KeepassXC] Import entries in trash isn't moved to trash in Proton Pass

    Like Proton Pass, KeepassXC has a "Trash" feature called "Recycle bin". When importing a KeepassXC database (XML), all the entries in the Recycle bin are create in the main Vault. This means the main vault might become polluted with old/outdated credentials from KeepassXC, which doesn't make for a good user experience when transitioning between the two.

    In short, it would be great if Proton Pass would move all items from KeepassXC's "Recycle Bin" into its Trash section instead.

  10. Password generator shortcut

    A shortcut that generates new password and copy to clipboard.

    I'm suggesting this because there are sites where Proton don't display the suggested password option on registering.

  12. Desktop search bar behavior

    The “Search in all vaults” search bar does not behave as a search bar. It is only a “button” that when clicked opens a new window with identical search control that works as search.

    Clicking within a search bar should not open a new window, rather it should allow the entry of a search term.

    I would prefer simple filtering of the list from the man ui search bar, but regdless, this needs some tweaking for sure.

  14. .rpm for SUSE

    Hello, please build .rpm for SUSE (and openSUSE, of course)
    It's already existing for Fedora, just adapt !
    Flatpacks are unfortunately buggy on non-Fedora&opensuse distros
    On Debian-based everything is smooth !

  15. Have a docker for self hosted vault, like Vaultwarden.

    So how Bitwarden has the VaultWarden docker that you can use, something similar that could run multiple ideas into one here,

    The self hosted would be accessible offline or on the same network.
    When a network is brought back online, everything syncs together.
    Have Access control through this so you could have a shared vault

    I feel more features could be easily added to this, but just to name a few.

    A feature that exists in keepass.
    Once the password expired, proton pass could show a notification warning the user that the password should be changed

  18. Email alias signatures

    Add signature to the generated email aliases.

    Problem: when an email that uses catch-all is exposed, bad actors could try to send spam to addresses that are not tied to a specific website or service (like when using website@mydomain.com).

    Signatures in the alias would make it so that any email that does not match the signature is rejected. If the alias is modified (like when trying to guess an email to send to my domain), the email is simply discarded.

    The alias could look like the following: webiste-{signature}@mydomain.com

  19. Allow to reuse alias

    Right now if I create an alias for a website it only allows me to use that alias once. If I create a second account then it says that I cannot use that alias again (when using proton pass to fill in an email)

    I use website@personaldomain.tld for my aliases and it is fine for me to have multiple accounts use the same email address on the same website. So please allow for that.

  20. Choose default view

    Two features on Apple Notes I like are folders and locking individual notes. Folders are basically vaults in Pass, but the advantage in Notes is that when you’re in the folder it’ll remain your default folder every time you open the app. I find Pass’s all vault view very busy, and when I have private notes I have to be mindful when opening the app.
    Locking individual notes in Apple Notes is a great feature. I know Pass can require biometrics or pin to open the app but it would be helpful to still be able to lock individual notes…
