Proton Pass - Password Manager
How about a service like LastPass or 1Password to make it easy to store all passwords and secure notes either online and synced with other computers and devices, or locally on one device. A secure password manager using the best of ProtonMail/ProtonVPN services

@Merlyn
KeePassX (in Gnu/Linux platform) is the ideal one to be stored all your passwords and credentials in your own computer. Do not trust any third party server to host such sensitive data. -

Use Keepass

Give Keepass2 a try, it's really worth it.

@Merlyn this requires a lot of effort and I like the ring to it but personally I don't think they'll be able to manage it considering they're still to improve the email service greatly and this will be just too taxing.
Beside there are so many really dedicated good ones. Just type in the the best password managers and you come across half a dozen you'll be spoil t to choose over.

I'd use it, I currently use Dashlane.
Ive used OneLogin and LastPass in the past, but they've had a lot of security issues in the past and using plaintext to store passwords.I'd definitely use it.

This is one of the best ideas I have seen - password organizing and safekeeping is a huge issue. Please look at this one seriously.

I've started using KeePass but if Proton built one that was more intuitive I and user-friendly I would use it.

Create a password manager application for windows and linux in order easily access and open a specific mailbox in one click from the desktop.
If a user has several protonmail email address, he would have to connect to this application with a master password that would then allow to open any of the protonmail address.
1and1 has a similiar tool to allow their client to open one of several FTP account.
This application would encrypt all the password encapsulated inside and the master password that would be required manually each time.

I think with a cloud based password manager (servers located in Switzerland) could you make a lot of money and get new customers. Just think how many passwords you need to handle today. Secure mail is useless if you can't remember your password or if you use a weak one which you can remember easily. At the moment i have more than 160 accounts with 160
Various passwords. I know there are other programs but i don't trust them. Would you hand over your password to your email, e-banking, or social media accounts, to companys located in China, Russia or the USA? Pleas the world needs a Secure program to Store passwords! -

YES please: This is NOT "just another alternative" as some people suggested. This is about an alternative that you can actually TRUST. Just remember, we also had 100s of VPN services BEFORE ProtonVPN. But ProtonMail created the first and only VPN that you can trust even in extreme scenarios, making all pre-existing solutions obsolete. And this was after they had already done the same with the pre-existing encrypted email services (yes, we had "alternatives" there too). ProtonMail could use the same principles to create the most advanced and secure password manager you have ever dreamed of, one that allows you to sleep well at night. So please remember the ProtonMail & ProtonVPN stories before claiming that there are "existing alternatives". Also remember, this could bring additional revenue and donations to those who already run and maintain your most secure email and VPN services. These, together with an equal quality password manager are vital tools, whether you use cryptocurrencies or not (even more so if you do). So if you care about secure password managers remember to up-vote this one right now, this is your chance.

Downvote - too many applications already fill this space. Would rather them focus on mail features.
+1 for Masterpasswordapp migrating from KeePassX and find it fantastic.

There's already a ton of password managers out there. Some, like KeePassX or Masterpasswordapp are open source and do a good job. Large multi billion corporations can start multiple projects at once. Smaller companies like Protonmail should stay focused on few projects and execute those the best they can.
