This is the only thing stopping me from switching fully from 1password, and the main reason I can't switch the rest of my family over.

Every other password manager has this, this is important for me but critical for UX in a time where passcodes and passwords are getting more and more replaced by better alternatives.

This is essential for security.

It is a security risk to not have biometrics available for the browser extension, as people next to you can see you type both your password or pin if you have auto lock on. Please make this available asap.

I would love to have this feature as other direct competitors offer it. As a paid user this is something that really adds value.

Will you consider on a short term to make available the unlock with biometrics browsers extensions...like RoboForm does?

I really hope that the browser extension will support unlocking using biometric methods like Touch ID.
a. For example, Bitwarden solves this issue by communicating with the desktop app.
b. Elpass (https://elpass.app/), on the other hand, uses a different approach. The browser extension is merely used to trigger the desktop app and autofill content, while all operations are handled within the desktop app.

I prefer implementation b. because it ensures that the data on the local computer is stored in a single location, rather than having one copy in the desktop app and another in the extension (even if it’s encrypted). This also results in faster response times.

This is very important to make it more secure. Also more convenient than having to type a code every time you want to add a password. Thank you for considering this!

I use some combination of Windows Hello and Mac TouchID every day. 1Password facilitates this functionality by having the extension defer unlock to the desktop application which is where the biometric authentication is configured (similar to the recent updates to the Proton Pass desktop apps)

I was about to switch from Enpass to Proton Pass since I would love to use Hide My Email aliases. However, the moment I realized that I can't use TouchID for the browser extension, I decided to stick with Enpass for now. I hope Proton considers adding TouchID support for the browser extension in the future, as this would make it a viable option for users like me.
