Folders and nested subfolders
I want to be able to use folders and sub-folders. I use strongbox on iOS which is based on keepass. It allows for as many folders and sub-folders that you want. I use folders to keep my stuff organized. I don't like having all my passwords and whatever in one big long list. I also using keepass as a bookmark manager. I really like the idea of your "vaults", but again I have over like 3000 bookmarks and folders are really needed. Also attachments with built in viewer is also important. I like to convert a lot of websites to PDF and store them as attachments, so I can view them later. Keepass is the only one that can view said items, everyone else you have to download said item to view the attachment.

Tags and folders are completely different.
Tags can be used across multiple vaults, folders live in a vault. Two different features, both would be lovely to have.
Folders or sub vaults. Allowing to break up say a personal vault into smaller chunks for organizational purposes. This also allows for not having too many vaults which can get cumbersome.
Tags are useful to combine similar types of logins for quick reference. Example: if you have different vaults associated with different companies you might work with. Each of them have their own Google login. Having a google tag to show your curated list of often used logins would be helpful

Also, I read the debates below. I don't understand why people have to choose between "Tags" or "Folders". Why can't PP Developers implement both. It's hardly no code whatsoever, if you get cranking and have enough Diet Coke ... it's a long weekend (if that). For me, I really want to move to Proton and to PP, but it's hard to leave Lastpass without these capabilities. For me, I might just have to find something else, but I hate BitWarden's UI too. It ain't up-to-snuff like Proton-Pass is. If they only gave a little development to folders and tags ... wow, many people would move away from Lastpass.

For me, I would like to have a Vault named "Eat Out" (let's say). Then, folders like "EatOut--Burgers", "EatOut--Pizza", "EatOut--Italian", etc. Because so many sites now (or in America, it's this way) require you to have a logon on their website. And, so, these type of Accounts grow quickly. I don't just want to throw all of my EatOut accounts into one HUGE *** list within EatOut. Yes, it can be sorted, but it's hard to get a good slicing down of the Vault without folders.
And, to me, it's hard to understand that this is not already existing; and, if not, then I don't see how hard it would be to implement this. I'm a Developer, and it seems like a long-weekend change. Not something that takes months on end to consider it.

[Copying same comment that I made in the Tags Discussion, where it can help assist in improving PP with Folders (at least, first) and then a future feature (maybe?) of Nested Folders ...]
Yes, tagging would help. I can't believe that it doesn't exist. I want to move from Lastpass, but there are many shortcomings of PP that make it a no-go. Also, I don't understand the limit of Vaults, or (maybe, better yet) I don't understand where there aren't subfolders in the Vaults. Because I want to really organize my accounts (as I move away from Lastpass) and PP doesn't have that capability.
To me, both sub-folders, tags, and increasing the number of Vaults should be an IMMEDIATE APPROVAL by their Development Staff. It's hard for me to understand what are the reasons why not. Because they don't have sub-folders in Vaults, which is a drawback that can be overcome with multiple vaults. Yet, you can get to 50 Vaults very fast, if you organize your stuff really well.

This feature is the second in the top list, and it is there from 18 months now. Really, is it that difficult to add tags and show them based on those tags?

Call them folders or tags 1password has tags and each login can be searched my any of the tags. For instance tags: Email, personal, work, banking, social media, even an option to create your own tag. Then you can search by tags/folders. It can be challenging to search by title if you can even remember it haha.

This is a showstopper for me. It's a total mess without any type of organization.

What's going on, Proton?!
Another highly requested and important feature after 1.5 years, yet not implemented.
LastPass has this feature.

Definitely needed! I struggle to move to ProtonPass without. But I prefer the tags approach that displays tags optionally like folders, as described here: https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/953584/suggestions/46872289

This is a absolute critical feature, I am a former Kaspersky user since they have been ousted from the USA and their password logger has this basic feature and has had it for some time.
I am trying to find a new password logger since I have over 300 passwords for personal and business use.
I like to separate the job ones and personal ones like restaurant rewards completely apart. -

I agree with those wanting TAGS.
Note that tags can be implemented as nested, so they can be used as folders. -

As full customer, I would like to have the feature of a folder structure.
Thank you! -

Just waiting for this feature to migrate to ProtonPass.
A vaults different from a folder.
I want to have a folder for Social Networks, for example, and within it I could have Instagram, Facebook, etc. I could use the vault as personal, shared, family, etc.
I understand that these are different concepts. -

How on earth can this one still be 'under review' ?! This is absolutely foundation stuff. Come on Proton get a grip.

I am shocked that this doesn't exist. I have hundreds of entries, and they are a complete mess without sub-folders.

Tags would be great and very important. Similar to Proton Mail
To get a some kind of this functionality I have created 20+ vaults -

Definitely need this for me to contemplate leaving Bitwarden. So keep the Vaults, but have them as a drop down list to select from (rather than down the side). Then underneath where Vaults are now we would have folders instead. Do one better than Bitwarden in fact and allow a three level deep folder structure as you do with ProtonMail.
And finally allow decent filtering so we can pick the Vaults we want displayed in the list, rather than an all or nothing situation like we have now.
Further to his, ensure the importing taks get improved to support this new paradigm. Allow users to pick where imported data goes in a more granular way for example.
