[BUG] Pass does not save suggested passwords
Pass often suggests passwords but when I choose the password, it isn't saved anywhere or pass does not prompt to save it and create a login.
So essentially you end up creating an account with a password you will have to immediately reset.

This just bit me yesterday! Clicking on a password to paste it into a page *needs* to *always* save it somewhere I can get it back.

I love ProtonPass but this is really inconvenient. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I always have to make sure I copy/paste the password elsewhere, just in case...

x 1,000,000!!! This is insanely annoying! Marc's workaround gets the job done but IT TAKES 10 CLICKS + 1 COPY/PASTE to complete the workaround each time. I forgot to include the additional clicks required if it's for a brand new login. You will have to manually create the login and fill in the Username field because Proton Pass almost never offers to create a new login on its own.

I can't believe that this huge bug still exists! This is a cornerstone of any password manager.

This is really annoying :D Created a new password and can not even copy it from the pw field.

It should offer to save the credentials after you press the secure password autofill, this is the functionality that is offered on 1Password and makes more sense to me.

This should have (number of total users X 3) votes. I guess it might be dependent on the platform, I'm on Desktop. It literally never asks to save a new password.

This should have more votes! It's insane and really bad user experience that this needs to be created manually. Thanks to Marc for the tip about where to find auto-generated passwords! It gets even worse if you use an email alias, you also need to find that somewhere and copy it manually into the new login entry.

You can still create the login manually. To get the auto-generated password you click on the extension -> menu (three lines) -> advanced -> generated password.
You can then view the passwords from the last day that you generated and copy/paste it into the new login entry.
Note this only works for up to one day from when the password was generated.
Hopefully they'll get the new account creation to detect better in the future.

Das braucht unbedingt ein Update... Wenn das nicht bald kommt werde ich die Erweiterung wohl wieder entfernen.

I was going to suggest this as a feature but then saw this bug report. This happens to my ALL the time and it the only frustrating experience of using Proton Pass. Whenever I reset a password or sign up for a new service, it does not offer to add the password to the vault, nor does it even offer a way to copy the password so as to easily do it myself. It's very frustrating and I'm constantly having to reset passwords immediately after signing up for things. Please consider addressing this. Thanks!
