Additional vault item types
Since I'm honestly too lazy to create multiple ideas I'll just post them as one, sonce they all are just different types or options of item types which should definitely be usable in proton pass, apart from log-ins, notes and the three other options:
1. Item types:
• Bank account
○ Bank name
○ IBAN
○ BIC
○ PIN
• Passkeys
• Identity incl.
○ Name
○ Surname
○ Middle name
○ Initial
○ Short name
○ Instagram name
○ Gender
○ Title
○ Birth date
○ Birth place
○ State
○ Company
○ Phone
○ Mobile phone
○ Address
○ Job title
• E-Mail addresses incl. application passwords
• Companies
• Wifi/Router data
• ID Card
• File upload (e.g. for tax certificates)
• Tax Number
• Tax ID
• Driver licence
2. Options for every Login item:
• Groups (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
• Tags (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
• Subdomain on/off switch (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
• Multiple log ins (Usernames and E-Mail) (should also be pickable/generatable directly when saving a new login)
3. Options under every item type:
• Custom fields with individually pickable custom names (Example: Field name: testfield, Value: test)
○ Text
○ URL
○ Date
○ Address
○ One Time Password
○ 2FA Backup
○ PIN
○ Application Password
Custom sections to divide the custom fields

I'm very pleased to announce that you can now experience this feature, which is currently in the testing phase. https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonPass/s/ooS6RlKngF

Add more fields should include URL, passwords, text, email, phone. Why is it so limited? Often there is a need for additional password fields.

+ Software Licenses / License Keys

This update is really needed here, even a simple browser can do the fill-out process. I'm using keeper which still has much more functionality, but with this function implemented i would consider the change.

Looking how old these comments are is disappointing how slow they are to implement basic features

For me the biggest of these is bank accounts.

It would be nice to have a type of card other than bank cards, for loyalty or transport cards.

Recently tried importing from another password manager and got 50+ errors from the import tool telling me all the custom fields I'd added to notes, cards, and logins weren't imported. Now I need to go back and manually add them one by one just to transition properly. Makes wanting to switch really hard.

I agree. When I imported my stuff from 1PW today I got the message that all my software licenses were not imported which is a real pity. I doubt that it's very difficult to implement and would make it a complete replacement for 1PW. Until this is available I'll have to see how much of a pain it becomes.

Ability to create a vault entry that allows hidden fields. This would allow you to store a password or pin that is not associated with a login. For example, a garage door code or bike lock code. I know notes can be used to do this but I don't like that the field is visible when viewing the note.

Just make your own vault for WiFi passwords

Still not implemented? No point in upgrading to Plus yet...

I'm also finding myself storing things like Windows application password, certificate information (mainly private key passcodes), Windows/Linux/Active Directory/Entra accounts. Even other specialized things. It would be nice to be able to specify these under your logins but under a different type of template or something. I'm basing this mainly on my corporate experience as we use Delinea there. It has a wealth of presets in it for different types of logins.

I am currently on enpass and have gotten so used to creating custom fields and adding attachments that I find it hard to believe it is not already a feature of every password manager. I am interested in the other Proton services, and am evaluating proton pass to share with family members. Would really like to see this feature.

Hallo,
Vielen Dank. -

As many before me have stated. The inability to save software license keys was almost enough to prevent the switch from 1 Password to Proton. I consider switching back, just for this feature.

I appreciated this feature in other password managers. This lacking feature was almost enough to prevent my switching to Proton Pass.
