If there is such an integrated ecosystem, I think a lot of people will start using proton products. And this is a very nice feature, at least if we allow proton to show the e-mails that come with that name to our mailbox, it would be very, very good, I hope it will be added.

I see the need, but what a software nightmare to add an email client to PP. No good.

This is really websites changing their authentication policies. Now with 2FA veering into one time codes by email or text, this undermines the usability of all password managers :-/

I support any integration of proton mail and proton pass just make it so people can turn it on or off..and perhaps off by default..but let everyone know that it is available... and maybe customizable in later versions..

It would be nice if this was provider agnostic and able to hook into the desktop email client like thunderbird.

It would be extremely useful to add a feature to Proton Pass that automatically retrieves verification codes sent by email in Proton Mail when we need to confirm a connection on a site or application. This could greatly simplify the process of two-factor authentication (2FA) or identity verification for services using unique codes sent by email.

Here is an explanation of how I see the functionality:

1. When a site or application requests a verification code by email, Proton Pass detects the code request.
2. Proton Pass automatically retrieves the code sent to the Proton Mail address associated with the user.
3. Proton Pass suggests inserting the code directly into the corresponding field on the site or application.
4. Proton Pass asks Proton Mail to delete the e-mail with the verification code

This feature saves time by eliminating the need to switch applications to copy/paste codes.

This would be a nice feature, but not sure how feasible it would be. I've never heard or seen any password managers do this. If it can be done, great!

Whether you've autofilled the username/password slots or copy/pasted your credentials, you press the login button...

And get this message...

"A code was just emailed to you, please enter the code from the email"

You open your email to retrieve the code

What I'm proposing is the email they send you, would be visible not just in your PM but also within Proton Pass of the account you're trying to login to.

Netflix might be a bad example... But I assume you mean when you log into a website that only requires a username?

You can already add an email to every Login entry in PP, so at least if you have it open and copy your PW, you already see your email you used for the service.
Not sure if you mean something else.
