Persistent, separate sorting options for each vault
Allow us to keep different sorting options for each vault, and make it persistent.

I would like to request a feature that allows users to set a default sorting method for the contents of a vault in Proton Pass.
Current Behavior
At the moment, all items inside a vault are sorted alphabetically by default. While this is functional, it does not align well with common usage patterns — especially for users with many entries.
Feature Request
Please provide an option to change the default sort order of vault contents to something more relevant to the user, such as:
Last added
Last modified
This default sort order should apply automatically each time the vault is opened.Scope
Applies to all item types (passwords, notes, IDs, payment methods, etc.) within a single vault.
Sorting preference should be per device, not synced across all devices. This allows customization depending on how a user interacts with Proton Pass (e.g., desktop vs. mobile).
Primary use case is desktop, but support on mobile apps would be highly appreciated as well.
PurposeThis feature would greatly improve user experience and efficiency, especially when working with a large number of items. Being able to quickly access recently added or edited items saves time and avoids unnecessary manual searching.

In the desktop app, make the filter choice "sticky", so when I select logins, it stays selected until I change it. Currently I have to reset the filter every time I open PP.

The behaviour is also inconsistent between the web version and the app. The sorting is persistent once changed in the app and matches what has been manually set across sessions, while it reverts to "Most Recent" every single time when using the web version

It should be good to have it consistent at least, or customizable.

I would also like to see sorting by A-Z and Z-A

Not only the vaults, but also the entries in the vaults. It's strange that "recent" is the default, and you are not able to change it.

This is important, as it allows effective management of the logins and the associated aliases, i.e. naming them so they sort together.

This is a minor thing, but I would really like the sort order to persist across logins. The Android app seems to do this, but neither the Windows app nor the web app seem to keep track of selected sort order.
I really like the app so far. Thanks! -

Custom order for vaults is neccessary. Alphabetical order of those makes app unusable when using more vaults.

I agree with this - there is an option to sort into alphabetical order - but this should be the *default* view, not the current default, which is "most recent". Obviously "most recent" can be selectable, just not default.

I just finished an email conversations with Proton about this. I am asking for a Setting that let's me open the Home Screen with my Vault Entries listed A-Z, instead of Most Recent, so I don't have to change it every time.
So now I'm here to help suggest that change! -

I would like the option to manually sort vaults based on personal preference. Id like to put client or shared vaults at the bottom and my "favorites" at the top. Further, the ability to create custom vault groups to function as collapsable (accordion style) vault collections/categories would be awesome; It'd be a great way to organize the left column. For instance, I would like to have a 'personal vaults' and 'client vaults' groups.
The simplest implementation would only require a few data fields: Name, icon, and color. The ability to share entire vault groups would be awesome, too! -

Option tos ort vault names by alphabetical order. Currently the order is based on when the vault was last added.

My Android app shows my vaults in alphabetical order, which is helpful. My PC web app does not, which makes it difficult to find things. For example searching for a login I was pretty sure I saved.

I agree, a custom order/filter would be nice to organise both vaults and entries wherever.
