Detect when a password only contains of placeholder dots
Detect when a password only contains of placeholder dots and warn that the actual password is probably different. Sometimes, I end up with accounts whose passwords are large and auto-generated, but all that Proton Pass saved is a bunch of dots that are usually masking the actual password.
I don't know how exactly that happens, but it happens not once and not twice, so I think this feature would be really nice to implement

Lock extension by default
Every time I install the ProtonPass Firefox extension I have to remember to set a lock pin, otherwise the extension remains vulnerable.
Sometimes the extension updates itself, and even if it forces me to log in again (which is OK) the pin is lost, so I have to remember to set a pin again or be vulnerable.I understand the pin is local to that extension, so my proposal is to follow what other password managers does, which is to lock with the password account if no pin has been set.
In that scenario, it would be a little bit…2 votes -

2nd Password
Some websites require not only a user and one password, there is the need to login with a second password. Is there a chance to get an entry for this in Proton Pass?

Sync Auto-lock between clients
Please add the functionality to sync the settings and status (locked/unlocked) of Auto-lock from the desktop app with the browser extension.
So you would only have to set up the auto-lock settings once and you only have to unlock Proton Pass on the system one time. Currently I have to unlock the desktop app and browser extension separately, which are two steps.

Updating Passwords
When generating a new password for a login, after each attempt it asks if I want to update the login. Sometimes I find, due to a sites password requirements, I have to generate multiple passwords before one is sufficient and each time PP asks if I want to update the account info each time, so if possible, PP should only ask to update the password until I've actually updated it in the particular site

Share a Password/Login With Multiple Vaults
I have separate vaults for me and my wife, and another that me and my family(siblings, mom, dad) share. Yet, I've had to duplicate things like my Hulu, Disney+, and other logins in both vaults despite wanting to have these logins in both vaults. I can't share my wife's and I's vault with my family as there are things we don't want them having access to, notes, calendar events, etc. Is it possible to do this already and I just can't find the setting or is duplicating the password's my best bet in this case??

Sortierung in Proton Pass festlegen

Mobile app: when biometric fails have a fallback other than system unlock.
Enabling "Use system lock when biometric fails" is insecure in the following scenario: someone shoulder-surfs in a crowd to find out your phone's PIN or unlock pattern, then steals your phone. They will then have access to your Proton Pass contents. It would be better to allow app-specific PIN code and Biometric unlocking to be active at the same time, rather than forcing users to choose between them. Users can then disable "Use system lock.." and still have a secure fallback if biometric lets them down.
Alternatively, a master password could be used as a fallback.

Proton Pass Extension Should Inherit settings from global settings - not allow unique settings
The Proton Pass extensions should not have different settings in each browser and each instance of browser as they currently do.
These settings should be inherited from global settings or at least have an option to inherit these settings from global settings and be force logged out when those settings change.
This feels like a security vulnerability and I am unhappy with how this works right now.

Dedicated domains and IPs for Pass
Certain countries (i.e. Russia) restrict access to Proton Mail. Apparently, Pass uses some of the domains or IP ranges they block. And if Mail access can be circumvented with a VPN, being unable to access your passwords is much more serious as you might as well have your VPN credentials saved there. In addition, connecting to VPN is most inconvenient whenever you need to unlock your vault or save a new item. This could be solved by having dedicated IPs and domains for Pass backend, so it does not suffer collateral damage from other blocks.

Do not expose username when app is locked
On mobile devices, the autofill feature exposes the username of the login item even when the app is locked. So someone with your phone can infer (a) that you have a login for that website and (b) your username. Imho b should be gone asap and ideally a too (replicating the behavior of the browser’s extension)

Import 1PW *.csv (https://1pw.de/)
Importing generic *csv -exported by 1PW- fails to 100%. There are no data in Proton Pass after import, so this import feature is more or less useless to me.

Add possibility to secure the Proton Pass Web App with a custom password or a Secret Service integration on Linux
Instead of having to rely on a PIN code or the Proton account password, add the possibility to unlock the Web app with a custom password.
In addition, on Linux, there could be a Secret Service integration, either requiring to unlock the app with KWallet, Gnome-Keyring, KeePassXC or a similar application. If possible, the Proton Pass app could prompt the user every time to input their password every time.
