How can we improve Proton Pass?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  1. Tags to organize entries

    I've used 1Password and Bitwarden. They are both lack of generic feature - organization of entries.

    Dealing with Search is a great way. But just full text search makes search results somekind of mess.

    Having ability to Tag passwords and other entry types will make UX much better:
    - search results can be ranked by tag names, titles and only then other fields
    - ability to Pin tags into sidebar can be very handy (do not list all the available tags like 1Password do - it's useless)
    - tags help to create many view perspectives onto my data

  3. The possibility to choose how many letters and numbers should be used in passwords.

    I tried to create a password for X website, but...used to Apple's Keychain, I'm also used to 3 words, 20 character passwords and the app does not allow me to choose how many characters should be use by generated pass's.

  4. Option to save the login information from the password generated

    As of now, after a password is generated the only option available is to copy the generated password. You then either create a new login information and paste the password there or use your password in a site or app and let proton autosave it. A feature wherein you can save the generated password along with the login information directly from the 'generate password' popup would be useful.

  5. alias and forward to email are limited to only 1 email address

    You can create multiple alias linked to multiple account but you can only use one "forward to" email.
    Why not having a feature to allow adding other email address, for accounts previously created with another emails we can update the login email by using alias but we must have the forward to email not static.

    The title says it all, Kaspersky has weird export method, it's txt or some folder with another txt...

  8. Password unlocking feature instead of PIN | Master password not linked to proton account credentials

    Like on Bitwarden, let the user choosing for password unlock (rather than PIN) on web and smartphone versions.

    Like on Bitwarden, allowing to create a master password, uncorrelated to the our Proton account credentials.

  10. Support the import of passwords from RoboForm password manager.

    I have used RoboForm password for many years. They have been around much longer than most of the password managers that you presently support the importing of passwords from.

  12. Import from pwSafe (Password Safe)

    I have used Password Safe since the Windows 95 days. Now I use it on my Mac, in the form of pwSafe. Any chance for the ability to import??

  16. Merge Duplicate Passwords

    The ability to merge duplicate entries in our vault that have the same login credentials but different websites/apps would be quite useful. For hypothetical example, if I have ProtonMail, ProtonCalendar, ProtonVPN, etc. in my vault, they are all using the same account from Proton, but they are separate entries. This isn't necessarily the case for Proton, I'm just using that as a generic example to help clarify why it's needed.

  18. Select multiple items for deletion

    Be able to select multiple items at a time. I want to delete duplicate and old passwords, but it takes a long time when you can only delete one at a time. You could also move multiple passwords to another vault.
