I have just migrated to Proton VPN and Proton Mail from Outlook and Gmail. So far I am very happy with my decision. The only feature I am not satisfied with is the very basic formatting/editing capabilities of Proton Mail compared with competitions. It appears to me that Proton Mail receives a lot of “technical” updates, which I do not dislike, but I would like to see more “useability” updates i.e full rich test editing and formatting. I think that this would attract more “normal” users who are more interested in excellent GUI interface and useability features rather then merely technical features.

I moved to Protonmail from Outlook and I like it very much except for the very basic formatting of new messages. It is just little more that text message formatting.

A lot of effort seems to be applied to more technical improvements (not knocking them back) but I think that proper formatting, at least at the level of competitions, would make Protonmail more attractive to more people.

Provide format change capabilities to all type of mail competition (forward, reply), not only for new composition.

Provide the ability to set/create a custom default format style for all composition
