Rather than creating another document type, I agree that an open standard like ODT would be the best option for your delvelopers to focus time on.

Yes, I think this is an important usability and accessibility issue. Some poeple, like me, have a hard time reading small fonts. I can read my email fine in the web browser app, but not in the Android app.
Yes, we should be able to share files with non-Proton users. The sharing feature isn't much use without this. I love Proton, but not everyone is on the platform. The link could be protected with a password, but I think the best option would when the user tries to access the link, a one time code is emailed to the sharee's email account, and then they have to enter that to access the file. I can do this on OneDrive, and I like how that works. The OTP sent to their email would verify that it is being shared with only the intended people (assuming their email isn't hacked of course).
