This is an absolutely critical feature. Creating an additional calendar just to have access to a new color is simply unintuitive. One should not have to make an entire calendar dedicated just to their gym schedule, or any other recurring activity. That simply overcomplicates things.

Having additional calendars I would say is for people who want to divide the different realms of their life and don't want to mix them ESPECIALLY when SHARING calendars with OTHER users. You don't want your co-workers seeing that you're going to therapy every Tuesday, or having a dermatologist or gynecologist appointment every third of the month. Being able to separate these things is the essence of privacy.

Being able to tell the difference between my sleep and morning routine however should be a simple click. For those of us crazy people who TRY to plan every second of our days, our entire calendar just looks like one big BLOB, where the only distinguishing thing is the title of the events themselves. It's not good, and needs to be changed. Thank you!!!

For those of you that work rotating schedules, see my idea about integrating rotating work schedules! Duplicating events is a much easier way than having to input each instance individually, but take it a step further, and be able to schedule your entire work schedule for the year in one fell swoop. Enter days on, enter days off (5 on, 2, off. 5 on, 3 off, repeat) and boom. Done. It would set ProtonCalendar apart from Google Calendar.
