    telegram foss app does it very well. i bet there is censoring concerns with pmail too. https://github.com/Telegram-FOSS-Team/Telegram-FOSS/blob/master/Notifications.md

    i would prefer Proton to NOT work together with Canonical. there are plenty ways to integrate your preferred email client into your preferred linux applications, we dont need more braindead handling. in fact, uservoice having facebook and google tracking elements is bad enough
