Yes, 100%. My partners and I are currently using TimeTree, since GCal notifications stopped synchronizing. We really only need one shared calendar, but we have 10+ color-coded labels within that calendar.
Right now, the only workaround in Proton is to assign each type of event to a different calendar. That's fine for me—I have a paid plan—but we can't afford to get everyone on a paid plan, even with the family bundles. This is the major thing that's stopping us all from switching.
