A transparent/oled-black background (white text to compensate) is more than just aesthetics. ADHD me has nothing on my homescreen but the proton calendar and 4 key apps to minimize distractions.

I remove all color from my phone and even use a black and white (not monochrome, binary black and white :P) icon pack. Pure black background. But protonmail breaks this theme. Which doesn't sound like an issue, but it is absolutely blinding to my eyes when everything else is so minimal and dark and distraction free.

I've heavily considered exporting my calendars to be imported into caldav or something to use another widget xD. Which... would ruin the whole privacy aspect unless I hosted my own server or somethnig. And aint no one has that many spoons :P.

I exclusively use the Proton Calendar. Switching from other calendar apps over the years, Proton is by far the slowest to open. Almost all of my calendar interactions are when someone is waiting on me, and opening the app is very slow. I understand the app is doing an API call and I'm waiting during that time, but displaying a cached version WHILE the API call is underway so that I can begin navigation to the date I need would be amazing!

Sure, the data would be stale, but you could even grey everything out in the interum. Just being able to go to a date in question while it is loading would be a lifesaver!

It's funny that the assumption is that we would want desktop notifications considering the clientele of proton users are privacy conscious. (I screenshare and can't have personal emails leak).

In the interum could you add a unique CSS class name or ID? Then I could nuke it into orbit using my adblocker (or a myriad of other browser extensions).
