Many systems share the same common point, labels are useful for "multi dimensional" filtering. Otherwise it seems like a folder, you've implemented this as if they were folders.
I'll give a meaningful example. An email can be related to 'support' being requested from your 'bank' support team. And another be related also to a 'support' to a 'social network' platform.
You're then forcing us to implement 2 labels: 'banking/support' and 'social media/support'
Not ideal to deduplicate and it can increase considerably the admin task to manage your emails.
And because of that, I can't switch to Proton and consider it as a production ready email platform.Sarah McConnor supported this idea ·
I highly recommend Proton an idea already mentioned earlier in this thread, to partner with GrapheneOS to create the perfect integration to solve this problem quicker.
We need a true challenger to the Google ecosystem. There are plenty of opportunities like this to make it happen. Proton partnered with SimpleLogin already, repeat this approach, don't reinvent the wheel yourself Proton. GrapheneOS is brilliant and the reall first mobile OS which can compete without compromising on security.
This contacts sync issue has been raised in 2019, we're leaning toward end of 2024. We can't continue paying 5-6 years each time to see a needed feature released.
