We most definitely need this option. Touch ID for those that have it, a pass code or Proton account password for those that don't. And the timeout is a great idea, too. We can enable secure access in the mobile Proton Mail app, and accessing Proton services on the web require a login. I'm not sure why this wasn't considered a key feature when the desktop app for Proton Mail was released and during the time since its release.

As it stands now, short of uninstalling the Proton Mail desktop app, there is nothing stopping people from accessing my Proton Mail if they somehow gain access to my computer. This is very much less than ideal from a security and privacy stance.

With all messages in the Trash folder selected, the use of the "T" shortcut key will "move" all messages to the Trash folder - where the messages already are.

It would be nice if the use of the "T" shortcut key would offer to empty the trash instead in such a case where one is in the Trash folder.
