Proton Docs has been released with the ability to edit a word processing document. This is useful for office work settings and schoolwork where these document types are required.

In many cases however, a fully configurable plaintext editor is a simpler, more powerful tool to write organized notes, code, and documentation.

Having a fully configurable text editor embedded in the cloud would be a wonderful way to make workflow portable across platforms, and collaborative online.

It should be possible to embed something like vim into your Docs product. Configurations could be saved on the cloud too.

I barely use cloud Docs because most of my workflow is in plaintext, and google does not offer a plaintext editor in google Docs. This is an opportunity for differentiation.

You would have to investigate the potential demand. But I for one would be using vim on proton docs all day.
