My primary concern is Mail and Calendar for MacOS.

For example, look at Apple’s email and Calendar applications for desktop and mobile. These are modern applications that work cohesively on their own. Proton’s software still feels like it was built prior to the invention of mobile devices.

When you draft a new message, the message window is small and tucked into the corner. You can move it but it’s clear that the development tools used to build this are archaic.

I’m not sure how to describe it but the fonts in the Proton apps feel like they’re from the 1990s. Every email conversation I have looks like I’ve sent a message from a bbs.

When I want to work on new rules, I can’t interacted with my messages to make them. I have to have Proton web open along side Proton desktop. The clunkiness between the mail screen and the settings screen feels like a hassle and it prevents me from changing my settings.

Mail and Calendar should be different applications. I don’t know who started this trend of putting them together but my event schedule and my mail are rarely related. I like mail as a fullscreen app running all the time and I want to look at and manage my calendar in a smaller unique window. Sometimes they are related and I want them side by side to copy / paste information. Sometimes I want calendar next to my web browser. Sometimes I want calendar next to my spreadsheet or my photos.

I desperately want modern email and calendar software from this company. These are the core apps that I’m paying for and I hate using them.

Obviously I appreciate the privacy but when Proton is out here investing the vast majority of their resources in new things like AI and video calls, it seems like they don’t care about the core platform. If no changes are planned, I can’t keep using not continue to pay to be aggravated.

Came here to vote for a Proton Photos app. Though I think removing meta data should be an option. Just looking for an alternative to mainstream options that I could bundle with my existing Proton subscription. I'm currently testing Ente but a Proton Photos app would be lovely.

This is huge. Often, I’ll read an email and won’t have the opportunity to act on it right away. Then I forget about it.
Would love a way to integrate with iOS Reminders where I can add additional notes.
I guess if I could get to inbox zero this would be less of an issue. However, I’m at 999+.
