Proton unlimited customer (happy user). I would really like to use Proton Pass instead of 1Password (costing me extra AUD100 per 6 months). Standing in my way is unnecessary inconvenience around login for installed apps (Windows and Android). Yes, upon installation, log in with full account user and password, but after that, only use the second password and/or biometrics.
I have a strong Proton account password, for which I use a password manager - that is, I currently need a password manager to get into my password manager, and that doesn't work for me. I'm currently choosing to continue paying for 1Password until the PP usability improves.
Request is that for installed apps, only require full account user and password for things that need to access the account across the web. Otherwise use a second stage password or biometric for local app access.
