Offline access
It would be helpful if you could add, amend or do other things in Pass when there is no internet connection. It’s prohibitive without this ability.
Subscribers now have access to offline view with the introduction of the Proton Pass desktop app for Windows:

In the process of moving over from 1Password to Proton Pass and struggled today to create a login entry on the Android app for a service I was signing up for on a spotty 5G connection (was in the train). Within 1P it would first save the entry locally and once it has connection it would sync it back, but within Proton Pass I continuously received errors to store the password. I prefer having the record saved locally and upon restored network connectivity to see multiple records within my Proton Pass app (if for some reason it was synced twice) over having no ability to store a randomly generated password locally. Would love to see this as it's the only thing I've seen so far that makes me consider staying with 1P (I can't have my password manager not being able to store passwords).

Hi person below me,
The browser is a thing that connects to the internet, so no.

Really need this on MacOS, and esp. on the browser. This feature is critical when doing work with routers or networking equipment.

The Windows app came out more than a year and a half ago, but still no word on macOS? I want to completely get rid of a paid subscription to a competitor, but this is basic functionality.
Not just for logging in offline, but I do a ton of work in terminal. It is SO painful having to go back to my browser all the time, take my hand off the keyboard to use my mouse, type, copy, etc, rather than just having an easy system-wide key command to access creds.
Proton, I want to love you but you are SO slow with features and basics all over the place that it's just so difficult. This should have come out with the initial release.

The link provided only mentions the Windows app. It doesn't explain when we can expect similar changes to the android app.

This function seems to work for me, at least in read mode, which is essential.
Obviously, you can't modify, add or delete an item in offline mode.
For me, the essential read function is available.
You must have forgotten or overlooked something... -

iOS here. Downloaded Proton Pass but unusable. Stayed with competitor. Offline mode is a primary function. Without it is useless

Yes, this is a huge problem for me too. I use the browser extension and in weak WiFi's it's such a pain, it won't even met me log in sometimes or take literal minutes to do so. It seems to me like most proton apps (pass, mail and calendar) actually are developed with a stable, somewhat fast web connection as a requirement which I think is a real shame. I think all the proton apps would benefit hugely from a more offline-friendly approach. Are there any plans to amend this?

This is a minimum viable product feature. Connecting to a new wifi on airports and flights is exactly when you would need an alias and a new login. A disgrace that this is not implemented on ios.

In the Android app, the + button will not even work when offline, which is disappointing as we can't access the password generator feature when we need to do so while offline.

Please add offline access for the Proton Pass mobile app, particularly iOS, like you did for the Windows app. I recently switched from 1Password to Proton Pass but then, on a flight where I didn't have internet, discovered that I couldn't access my passwords offline, which was a big inconvenience. And I can imagine many scenarios, e.g., an emergency, where accessing passwords offline would be essential.

This is a critical need for any password manager. Have run into issues multiple times while traveling. I found an issue today where the browser extension didn't work offline while traveling, but for MacOS, was able to use my additional password to login. Offline also worked on iOS. This is improved from the past. Waiting on the extension but good progress. *comment edited after running MacOS/iOS offline validation tests*

Currently, when you setup a pin on the Linux desktop app and are offline, you cannot even interact with the app. This discourages people from actually using the PIN option, and is not secure.
I'd like to be able to at least use the app on a read-only basis while having a pin.
Furthermore, to say proper offline support is there, we'd need to have read and write support for the app, such that the server syncs once you have internet.
Thanks for the product!

Offline first is a must. I can't rely on a password manager that is locking myself out without an internet connection.
