I'd suggest the folder structure is configurable, so you can choose which folder to save to. If they ever implement account switching in Drive, e.g. work and personal, it would be useful to have that username of the account in the folder structure.

Really wish this had been the priority instead of them reinventing the wheel by developing a web only, proprietary file formatted google equivalent that is docs and sheets. Hopefully your suggestion gets implemented, though it would be nice if it were an api or bridge that worked with most office suites. That way we can utilise Proton's brilliant security, privacy and encryption without having to rely or like their design, workflow and ux/ui and can instead use the programs that work for us.
