Hello Proton Team,
I hope you’re all doing well. I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback from the perspective of two pleased, long-term Proton users.
My partner and I have been using Proton for years now, and we genuinely feel aligned with what you stand for. Privacy, transparency, and putting users first are values we deeply care about, and it’s the reason we’ve chosen Proton again and again. We’re currently on the Duo plan, and it’s been wonderful sharing an ecosystem we truly trust.
As our digital lives have grown, though, we’ve started to feel a small limitation: custom domains. With two people on the Duo plan, three custom domains just aren't quite enough anymore for our combined personal projects, family domains, and professional identities.
What makes this a little bittersweet is that, as long-time users, we remember that in the past there was an option to add additional custom domains for a fee. We genuinely understand that the newer pricing models aim for clarity and simplicity—but in that process, a bit of flexibility seems to have been lost for users like us who would happily pay a small extra amount for this specific need.
So this is a heartfelt request from members of your community: please consider bringing back the option to add extra custom domains to the Duo plan. It would make a big difference for users whose needs have naturally evolved, and it would help us continue growing within the Proton ecosystem rather than looking for workarounds elsewhere.
We love Proton, we believe in what you’re building, and we want to keep supporting it for many years to come. Thank you for listening—and thank you for creating a service that truly earns our trust.
