Subject: Suggestion: Dedicated IP / Dedicated Server options (New York and others)
Description: I recently switched from NordVPN to Proton VPN and I am very impressed with the new layout and performance—it is much more intuitive and accessible.
However, the one feature I truly miss is the option for a Dedicated IP address. At my previous provider, I paid approximately €75 per year for this feature, and it was worth every cent. Having a consistent identity, especially in a location like New York, is essential for several reasons:
Streaming & Services (like Netflix): Many platforms flag accounts or require constant re-verification when they see a different shared IP every time. A dedicated IP ensures that services recognize the connection as a stable, consistent user, preventing login issues and unnecessary security prompts.
Avoiding CAPTCHAs and Blocks: Shared IPs are often flagged as "suspicious" by websites, leading to endless CAPTCHAs and occasional blocks. A dedicated IP would solve this while maintaining Proton's high security standards.
Seamless Access: Some websites require a fixed IP to allow access from abroad or for security-sensitive accounts. Without it, the user experience becomes frustrating.
I believe many users would be willing to pay an additional fee for this premium feature to make Proton VPN the ultimate all-in-one solution. To see how much interest there is, I created a small poll for the community:
