I would like to suggest an improvement to Proton Drive's user experience.

I tried to upload a large folder (around 100 GB, containing many files) using the web interface. After dragging and dropping the folder, absolutely nothing happened: no progress window, no "preparing upload" message, no error, and no indication that Proton Drive was analyzing the folder.

As a result, I had no way to know whether:

the upload had been accepted and was still being prepared,
the application was analyzing the folder,
the folder had been rejected because it was too large or contained too many files,
or the application had simply failed.

After a long troubleshooting process, I eventually discovered that uploading smaller subfolders worked correctly. The problem was therefore not the upload itself, but the complete lack of feedback.

I am not asking Proton Drive to remove any technical limits. If large uploads must be split into smaller batches, that is perfectly understandable.

What is missing is clear communication with the user. Even a simple message such as:

    "Analyzing folder..."
    "Preparing upload..."
"This folder contains too many files. Please split it into smaller folders."
or any other informative status message

would save users a great deal of time and frustration.

This is, in my opinion, a small UX improvement that would significantly improve the experience without changing the underlying upload engine.
