    An official refurbished model can still be a good option, especially for indie games, provided the price difference is worthwhile and Valve’s warranty is included. I’d check the battery health, controls, screen, fan noise, charging port, and storage immediately after delivery. This Steam Deck refurbished guide includes a useful inspection checklist. If the saving over a new OLED is small, though, I’d probably buy new.
