Subject: Feature Request — Native LaTeX/Math Equation Support in Proton Docs

    Message:

    Hello Proton Docs Team,

I'm writing to respectfully request native LaTeX or mathematical equation editing support in Proton Docs, ideally with a function-to-LaTeX conversion capability.

    Use Case:
As a technical professional working on high-security architectural design documentation, I frequently need to include mathematical functions, formulas, and technical notation within E2EE documents. Currently, the workaround of creating equations externally and importing as images sacrifices editability and breaks workflow continuity.

    Why This Matters:
Many technical users (researchers, engineers, security architects, academics) rely on Proton's privacy-first infrastructure precisely because our work involves sensitive documentation. Native LaTeX support would:

Close a critical capability gap compared to non-encrypted alternatives like Google Docs (which supports equation editors)
Enable seamless workflows for technical audiences who depend on both security AND mathematical notation
Strengthen Proton Docs' positioning as a truly viable enterprise-grade alternative for specialized use cases
    Specific Requests:

Built-in LaTeX equation editor (similar to MathType or Google Docs equation tool)
Optional keyboard shortcut or plugin-style extension for LaTeX-to-rendered-equation conversion
Preservation of equation editability during export/import cycles (.tex compatibility would be ideal)
I understand this is a significant engineering investment. Even if the roadmap doesn't permit immediate implementation, I'd appreciate knowing whether such features are under consideration for future releases.

Thank you for building tools that prioritize privacy without compromising functionality. Your work means a lot to users like me who operate in high-trust, high-stakes environments.
