The Lightning Network grows more and more in recent times. In my view every merchant should offer (and encourage) lightning payments alongside with old-fashioned on-chain bitcoin-payments.
For those who not know what the lightning network is: It is a 2nd layer transaction network based on (in this case) the bitcoin blockchain.
This is not an alterantive coin. With lightning you send/receive original bitcoin, just instant and practical without fees (which are sometimes are getting rediculous high when using on-chain-transactions instead of lightning)
