    Support said 30.12.2017: "Thank you for your message. At this time, we utilize Google Play services to implement the push notifications. We will try to find other ways to support push notifications in the future."

    I am also really looking forward to this. What I don't understand, when I open Protonmail on my CarbonROM Android without any Google services, I get this message that Google services is required, even though the Protonmail app seems to work just fine without it.
