Every writing Desktop Software (take LibreOffice) has the possibility to choose if the spell checker is activated or not and in which language the check takes place without depending on the language OS that is configured.

I write in English, French, German and sometimes Italian.

With the web app, it's possible to switch languages once configured in the browser.

With the desktop app, I first have to write my text in LibreOffice, copy/paste in a text editor to erase the formatting and then copy/paste in the desktop app.

    - Loading an ods file (libreoffice) is not possible.
    - Loading an xlsx file (excel) is possible, but the formulas are not overtaken, only the numbers (results).
    - Doing a copy/paste from an ods/xlsx file returns errors where formulas where introduced (#Name!]...
... and it doesn't overtake the formatting (bold, underline, etc.).

    >> It's better to start from scratch when it goes about formulas/formatting.
