    You have left! (?) (thinking…)
How important is this to you?

Markdown support would be great for another reason: Protonmail would be able to send text/html (result of md2html) AND text version (origin markdown) of the email, which is awesome for people having a text-only reader and awesome for people having am html reader.

Also, the visul editor could have the bold / italic / link / etc buttons to help non-markdown-users to edit their email, as github does. This would train user to understand they can use text instead of clicking on buttons, making everybody know Markdown without learning it (without even knowing it's called Markdown).

As on github, a "Preview" tab would be great.
