A tier between 'Free' and 'Plus' would be really welcome for those of us on very low incomes. I'm a free user ATM but am currently looking at how I use my email to improve account security. However, I'm limited in options b/c of how much I can afford to pay.
So I'm either going to have to use multiple free accounts which is a pain & means I can't use the Bridge with Thunderbird. Or I'm going to have to use free insecure accounts like Outlook.
But, I'd be very happy (& could afford) to pay Proton €20 to €25 a year for:
- 1 user
- 2GB storage
- 5 Addresses
- 500 messages / day (or less)
- 100 Folders / labels
- No custom domain
This would be ideal for me.
Or you could do a sliding scale pricing where people can add functions for an additional fee: eg how much storage they need, how many addresses they need, etc. We could then create the service we can afford to pay for.
