I don’t understand where is the problem with e.g. having one slot for changeable, randomly generated address for paid accounts, that can only receive email.
Would be great to be able more securely exchange contact information with friends via chat or pm on social network sites and forums that mishandle data as well as to sign up on such sites. -

Can’t wrap my head around people who go out of their way to trash feature proposals because they personally won’t use it. Do you also go to charity events tell everyone not to donate because you’re not affected? Signal(based in usa) requires a phone, Threema requires money, doesn’t have linux app...
If you’re not a fan of this idea just stick your votes somewhere else.

Yes, please for crying out loud! Wire- the only end2end encrypted chat that works on all platforms and doesn't require phone/ phone number was acquired by some US data mining company and secretly changed their privacy policy.
At this point, there is no free cross-platform chat that can be reasonably trusted in regard to privacy protection. -

It is getting ridiculous how Proton treats Linux-based systems (the OS' that unlike Windows, don't make joke out of privacy) as a mere afterthought.
