ProtonMail offers encrypted contacts for both web and mobile applications (https://protonmail.com/blog/encrypted-contacts-manager/). Calendar and note functionality will be released in the future.

I love contact information being encrypted and showing us what is not encrypted (and why) but by no real contacts I mean there is no way to group them (unless you have an email address for ALL contacts and basically want to make an email distribution group). This is 2020. SMS, etc. Why can't we at least have simple labels for contacts (same as we do fro emails) so I can filter my view of contacts? The import process leaves a lot to be desired as well.

agree with post. It is a HUGE ask tho, not easy doing an OS. I am looking at librem / Purism.
while I know Purism OS is also/could be POS, I'd caution again POS for Proton OS or Private OS, the acronym … just sayin' :)
until something can be realistically done, I turn off almost everything to make existing as private as possible but it is increasingly difficult to do. Even if you do get stuff turned off, it's almost impossible to stay on top of it. I use an old device to do most of my b*ll sh*t surfing and stuff … and wipe it regularly.
