This is minor, but not greying the past events!
I sometimes need to quantify the amount of time spent on a specific activity and visually it would make it easier. As it is, not only is it not aesthetically pleasing but it's also ever so slightly less clear.
Maybe have the past event colour slightly dulled down, or perhaps have an option to grey it entirely?8 votes -
Pinned emails in Inbox Feature!
I see this feature request has periodically been posted all the way back to 2015. I am reposting as a brand new user migrating from Outlook. This was an Outlook feature I used every day, multiple times a day. I pin current bills and other important emails to the top of the Inbox so I do not overlook them or forget to check a folder or search for stars. Feature to see and delete all website accounts we signed up for (like Google)
Hey Proton team and community,
One thing I really miss from Google is being able to see a list of all the third-party websites and apps I’ve signed up for using my email.
Right now, if I use my Proton email to create an account on a site like Activision, there’s no dashboard that tracks it. I have to manually search my inbox for "welcome" emails just to remember where I have accounts.

Display calendar notifications automatically sorted by time
I suggest displaying notifications for a calendar event sorted by time (as in Google Calendar). In other words, the notification closest in time to the event time should appear at the top, with all others listed in descending order of time until the notification furthest from the event time. This improves readability, making it easier to decide whether another notification is needed.

Proton Calendar does not look nice on Iphones and Ipads.
Please visually enhance it. It should also should todays date on the app when looking at it on the home screen. Todays date in the calendar should look more obvious when in dark mode. Should have custom options to make the calendar look how you want it to look.

Email Signature for New Mail but not in Replies
It would be great to have the option to have email signatures in newly composed emails, but turn them OFF in replies.

Keyboard Shortcuts + Improving "Add Event"
The current shortcut cheat sheet is fine. Please do include the ability to have other actions be triggered by a keyboard shortcut too such as "snooze" or have the ability for the user to customize the keyboard shortcuts to their preference for each action or an action that is not given a default shortcut.
Also the mail app should detect events in the inbox better so that hovering over the date and time should just create that event or at least allowing the user to highlight it and right click it to create the event. Right now, can only manually…

Select all emalis matching a search
Again... seems like this would be on a "required for day one" list but - we need the ability to perform a search and select all matching results. Currently there is a 'first page' or 'all' on a Folder and Label level - but it needs to be more granular - while still allowing to select more than 50 results.

Description for labels and folders
In Proton mail when creating a label or a folder it would be very useful to be able to add a description. For example, label 'C: Finance' but the description would be something like 'Loans, mortgage, life insurance, pension, investments, and so on'.

Quick-add sender to existing filter rules from inbox/message view via groups
Currently, managing multiple senders for a single filter rule is tedious. Using groups in filters can solve this. This would save significant time for power users managing multiple sender rules.
Use Case: I have a folder named "Travel" with a filter that moves all emails from expedia.com. Today, I receive an important email from a specific airline.

UX costumization in Calendar
It would be great to be able to costumize the way we want to calendar app on Android.
I'm thinkin of :
- In monthly view, have a parameter that allows us to display the title of event on 2 or 3 lines, to be able to read it (Or to change the size of the title)
- In weekly view, same thing : for a full day event only 2 letters of the event are displayed...

Allow to pin or always display a label/folder
I have a hand full of labels that I use every day. So I currently need to keep the labels list open while I dont need moste of them. That's very distracting and makes the UI confusing.
Please add an option to always show a label even when the Labels are closed. This makes sens for Folders to.
Gmail also have this option.

recurring appointments
Create the option to schedule a recurring appointment that happens multiple times a month (2nd and 4th Wednesdays) in a single appointment.
Right now, in order to create this kind of schedule I need to create 2 appointments, one that repeats on the 2nd Wednesday (for example) and another that repeats on the the 4th Wednesday. This causes problems when the overall schedule changes or if there are details to be added to the appointment in that now those changes need to be made twice.

Please add external SMTP, and IMAP support. That way people can connect their Yahoo addresses and use Protonmail as a normal email platform. I currently believe Yahoo will not shut off their SMTP and IMAP access from their current customers for some time to come. Is this something the Protonmail team is willing to tackle? Note that IMAP only will be read only for the Yahoo customers, and people will not be able to reply with foo@yahoo.com addresses.
