better filters for forwarding email
When defining a forwarding filter the expression is either a conjunction (&&) or a disjunction (||). However, the UI lists a AND/OR selection for every single atomic expression. This is misleading. It took my several months of wondering why the expression isn't working until I surprisingly realized that when selecting AND between two filters, everything is ANDed. Because I can only define one filter for every recipient, I thought I could define a filter respecting precedence (punkt vor strich / AND before OR) but actually. This didn't work.
- The UI should show only a single select-box for AND/OR given today's functionality
- Even better would be to respect precedence of AND before OR. I understand that this may be difficult to understand for non-logicians. But visual cues could solve this problem
- It would also improve the situation if the forwarding rules were not keyed by recipient email.

Slack to Teams Migration: Best Way
If you're planning a Slack to Teams migration, I’d recommend starting small instead of trying to move everything at once.
For a small workspace, you can manually recreate Teams channels, download important Slack files, upload them to Teams, and copy over critical messages or information. Before migrating, it’s also worth cleaning up unused channels and deciding what data actually needs to be moved.
The main issue with the manual approach is that it gets difficult pretty quickly when you have lots of channels, DMs, files, and message history. User mapping, attachments, replies, and older conversations can easily be missed.
A better approach is to test the Slack to Teams migration with a small group first, verify the results, and then move the remaining data in batches. Keep the original Slack data available until everything has been checked.

Filtering to Help Distinguish Mailers from Common Senders - e.g. Zoom.Us
Example: Assume one receives video conferencing requests from multiple companies that use the same sender, such as Zoom where every email is sent from no-eply@zoom.us. The behind the scenes sender could be anyone from Company A to Company Z. Often the "reply-to" will be filled with the company requesting the video conference.
I see 2 options to solve this problem easily without custom scripting by the ProtonMail user:
- Add a filter for "reply-to" to the existing filter mechanism OR
- Add a filter to search the body of an email (MUCH MORE INTENSIVE).

Hotkeys on non‑English layouts
Right now hotkeys don’t support different keyboard layouts, which is quite inconvenient. I’m sure there are complete mapping tables that show which keys correspond to important hotkeys like: T, R, U, I, A and others in various layouts. I think it should be possible to map them to the English layout without any issues.
P.S. Just eight years ago there was a request on GitHub to add hotkeys — it’s surprising that they didn’t exist here at all before that. (ProtonMail/WebClients/issues/65)

What’s the best way to recover a damaged Exchange Server?
I’m curious what others normally do when an Exchange Server starts having serious issues and mailbox data becomes inaccessible.
If you have a recent backup, that should be the first option. Restoring the affected mailbox or Exchange data from a known-good backup is generally safer than trying random repair methods. It’s also worth checking the Exchange services, database status, available disk space, and event logs first, since sometimes the problem is with the server or configuration rather than the mailbox data itself.
For smaller issues, Exchange’s built-in recovery and repair options can help. Delete mails, not threads
Maybe I just do not understand the functionality correctly, maybe this is actually really bad design:
I want to delete specific emails from a thread and keep some others in the folder where they are, but if I delete one, it always moves around the other mails to this folder as well.
If I for example have two mails in a thread in the inbox, I want to delete one, and later move one into a folder, then it directly moves both into delete when I delete one, and also moves both from the bin If I want to archive one.
I am definitely clicking on one specific mail, not the entire thread. Bad design maybe? Me misunderstanding?

Force default email address
Please extend the current default email address configuration settings, to allow the user to choose whether to always use the default email address on all replies/forwards, or only on new emails.

Ability to suggest other times in Calendar:
When managing multiple people that have busy schedules, the ability to propose new calendar time for conflicting schedules is a HUGE time saver by not having to write messages back and forth. Both Google and Outlook have this feature.

Custom Domain Flexibility: Let Users Set Any Local Part for From Addresses
Hi.
I am on the duo plan and would love to switch my custom domain(s) to Proton Mail. But as of right now, some very basic features are missing which prevents me from making the switch.
I have one mail alias per user account (which are quite a lot). And sometimes you also need to send from that address to contact support or reply to a verifcation mail or whatever. As of right now, there is no easy way to achieve this with Proton Mail.
IMHO, having the ability to freely set the local part of a FROM-address when using custom domains, is an essential feature. Since it is a custom domain, there is no concern about impersonating someone or any other other security concerns since the domain is not a shared one (like pm.me).
And from an implemenation pov: There really shouldn't be that much effort necessary. ;-)
Last but not least, Simple Login, as nice as it is, really is no solution for this. Migrating hunderts of aliases to SL would be a herculian task and handling those aliases unnecessarly cumbersome. And, again, since it is a custom domain, it really shouldn't be necessary in the first place. Also, there is the issue of using the very same custom domain on both PM and SL which currently will not work.
I hope this gets some attention and upvotes.

Add 'task completed' checkbox to existing calender entries
If no separate Tasks are added to Proton Calender, please add a 'completed' checkbox to existing calender items and change the color of the 'completed' item to a little 'of'f the current color.
