Need pop up event notifications like Outlook does
Calendar event notifications should pop up in a new window just like calendar event notifications in Outlook. Currently they only show up in the Windows notification section in the lower right corner, but it's too easy to miss. I've missed some reminders because of this, whereas with Outlook I never missed reminders because there would be a flashing pop up window on my desktop.
This seems like it would be an easy add but it's also kind of critical for me because the whole reason for calendar event notifications is to see them and be reminded.

[ProtonMail] Suggest Linked attachments instead of attachment direclty in the mail
Hello
I saw an article from bluemind blog which talks about linked attachments (https://blog.bluemind.net/en/feature-focus-linked-attachments/)
Would it be possible to implement this feature on Proton mail. If the file is not originally stored on drive space it would be stored automatically on a dedicated drive folder .
Link and file retention tuneable (for companies) would be a nice to have.
I think that kind of feature would help reducing global carbon footprint of mails due to attachments.

Adding an option to Pin an Email in the top of the mailbox
It would be useful to pin an important email on top of the mailbox because we can have too much ''Starred'' email.

Mail notification only for certain categories
It should be possible to send email notifications not only for all incoming emails, but also only for specific emails. For this purpose, you could select the categories for which you do not want notification. This made it possible to hide newsletters, for example.
I know that you can use a filter to move such emails to a folder and bypass the notification, but then they are no longer in the inbox and we don't notice.

Stop labeling emails as [Possible phishing attempt]
Probably 50% of my emails have this label. 0% of them are phishing attempts. Also actual phishing emails are not flagged (I actually just received one 10 minutes after submitting this). If you're not able to even remotely accurately label them (which you aren't), you should just stop. It's annoying and obscures the actual subject line of the email.

Edit email in HTML and CSS for power users
It would be nice to have the option to do custom HTML/CSS when sending an email. Most other email clients don't have this feature or have their limits on a feature like this, and so there is A LOT of potential for Proton to easily compete in this category.
Proton currently has an option to switch over to plain text, but that seems more like a notepad/wordpad thing than a place for power users who would like to custom-write HTML for their emails. In fact, the plain text feature that currently exists feels like what I'd expect back in the…

Graphically adjust appointments
Calendar: Add the ability to drag the ending times of appointments directly on the calendar (like Outlook or Google), instead of having to edit the appointment and choose from a drop-down menu

Show labels based on latest email, not group
Currently when emails are grouped, the email in the inbox shows the first label of any email in that group, based on the custom sorting of the labels. Instead I want the labels to only reflect this particular email, not its group.
As an example: For some services I have multiple accounts. These accounts use different email addresses, which automatically apply a label for each address:
Address A => Label A
Address B => Label B
Address C => Label CIf the latest email was sent to address C and was labelled Label C, it shows as Label A…

Edit/add participants on existing events
I received a booking email and Proton offered me to add the event to my calendar. Once it was created, I wanted to add participants, which seems to be not possible. It would be great to be able to edit the participants list on existing events, without having to create another one.

Disable categories
Option to remove the feature described below. Categories are useless. Labels already exist
Category view
Managing a cluttered inbox can be overwhelming, which is why we’re automating the process. Newsletter view was just the beginning. Soon, Category view will take things further, automatically organizing your emails into smart groups — like promotions, updates, newsletters, and more. This means fewer distractions and more control, letting you find what you need faster and focus on the messages that matter most.

select Proton address as calendar organizer
Proton allows you to create new identities or addresses with the Proton suffix. The problem is the Calendar default organizer is your original proton account. You should be able to choose which address is the organizer.

dark mode toggle in-app
The mobile apps need to have a dark mode toggle just like the web version. I want to keep my device in light mode but have this app in dark mode just like every other company offers but for some reason it only syncs with your device theme. It exists for the web version so why is it overlooked in the mobile apps?

Implement Enhanced Tracking Protection on Android platform
Implement enhanced tracking protection features in the Android app that are already available on the web. This will include:
- Protection against spy pixels (also known as tracking pixels).
- Tracking link protection.
These features have been available on the web for several years, but they haven't yet been implemented on the Android platform, despite their importance. More details are available at https://proton.me/support/email-tracker-protection .
It's understandable that new features can't be released simultaneously across all platforms. However, users often expect consistent experiences across different devices and platforms. Proton could do better by ensuring these features are available on all platforms to provide…

Support for ISO 8601 date formats (YYYY-MM-DD)
- have an option to display dates in a sane, superior, internationally standardized format...
- allow users to enter dates like "2024-05-08" when creating an event, instead of having to type "May 08, 2024" which is an annoying hindrance.
- bonus points if you let me paste "2024-05-08T14:45" and it update the time field too.

Emergency Export via Mail app
A feature to mass export or forward currently decrypted emails from within the Proton Mail app would be extremely valuable—especially in scenarios where a user anticipates losing access to their encryption keys.
There are real situations where a user is still logged into their account (and emails are actively decrypted in-session), but they no longer have access to the correct passphrase required to decrypt their stored data after a reset. Once the account is reset, those emails become permanently inaccessible.
Providing an option—particularly for paid users—to bulk export or forward all currently decrypted emails before initiating an account reset would…

Support iCalendar RFC 5545 Recurrence Properties
Currently, Calendar imports do not support "Events based on recurrence rules that are not supported by Proton Calendar". The current Calendar UI supports a very limited set of recurrence rules meaning imports are also limited. This significantly impacts the ability to create and/or import calendar events that use somewhat common recurrence rules not currently supported by Proton. In UserVoice, there are a number of suggestions to support various combinations of additional recurrence rules. My recommendation is to "consolidate" these into this (???) recommendation for supporting all recurrence rules defined in the iCalendar specification (RFC 5545) (see https://icalendar.org/iCalendar-RFC-5545/3-8-5-recurrence-component-properties.html).
This recommendation…
