Don't save empty email as draft
When you close email composer, without writing anything, it should not prompt a box to ask if the (empty) email should be saved as draft.

Show alias as sender, or at least next to it
When replying to an email sent to alias, the "from" field is populated with the main email, not with the alias.
As per my tests, the alias is ultimately used as sender, but this should also be shown on the user interface when sending the email. It's confusing and error prone otherwise.
If not directly in "from", show it somewhere next to it.

Feature Request: Native Retention Policy Support with Backup and Export Integration
Dear Proton Developers,
Retention and deletion management in Proton Mail currently require manual intervention using labels and searches. Although message expiration (self-destruct) and trash/spam auto-delete exist, they don’t provide sufficiently customizable or automated retention control based on user-defined policies.
Proposed improvements:
Introduce native retention policies configurable per folder and/or label, with options like:
Keep emails forever
Keep in inbox for X days, then archive or export automatically
Delete immediately or after specified time periods
Integrate automated export/backup functionality to securely transfer emails to secondary encrypted storage before deletion, enabling safe archiving and compliance.
Provide a user interface to monitor, audit,…

Request for Bulk Deletion/Management of "Imported" Events in Proton Calendar
I recently imported a calendar file from WebCal.Guru, which added a large number of entries (approximately a year’s worth) to my Proton Calendar. After realizing that I no longer need these entries, I tried to delete or move them in bulk but encountered the following issues:
- Identifying the Events:
- I can search for these events using a common string included in each entry: “This calendar is provided by WebCal.Guru.” - However, after listing them via search, Proton Calendar does not allow selecting or managing multiple events simultaneously.- Desired Action:
…- I would like to either delete or move all33 votes -
It would be great if there was a keyboard shortcut to switch between calendar and mail on the desktop app
I would love a keyboard shortcut to allow the user to switch between calendar and mail. Ideally, it would be a single keystroke for simplicity.

Modify single event in recurring series *when there are other participants*
Currently, in Calendar Beta, I have a recurring series that includes 1 other confirmed participant. If I want to modify one event in this series, the change has to be applied to all events in the series. I am aware that this problem has been resolved for recurring events that do not have other participants. Please make it so that the modification of a series is always the same, whether or not there are participants.

Add support for Gmail accounts (external mail accounts)
Hi Proton, I love using Proton Mail but there is no getting away from using my Gmail account also.
I would love it if you could add desktop/web (and mobile) app support for Gmail accounts, so I can use just 1 email client (Proton Mail). It is perfectly fine, and expected, that you will not be able to offer the same security and encryption for Gmail as Protonmail. The value of adding this support is in the convenience.
I have spent a ton of time trying to make Proton Mail work with other clients like Spark, Airmail, and Canary (nevermind…

Can my calendar email reminders include the event name, time, location, and details?
Can my calendar email reminders include the event name, time, location, and details? This way I can check my event reminder in my proton email app, especially since there is no calendar app on iOS yet?

Add support for Sieve ereject.
Add support for Sieve ereject. Using reject exposes my account email address to senders, but I would like to reject unwanted emails and make it appear to them that my email address doesn't exist by creating a filter like:
if allof (address :all :comparator "i;unicode-casemap" :is "From" "SpammyMcSpamFace@example.com") { ereject "This email address does not exist"; }This feature was also requested by someone else on GitHub: https://github.com/ProtonMail/libsieve-php/issues/31

Integration of an EteSync server within ProtonMail to manage Contact Synchronisation on several devices
EteSync is an Open Source zero knowledge Contact and Calendar synchronization service.
The integration of an EteSync server to manage ProtonMail Contacts & Calendars would permit a zero knowledge synchronisation on several devices, bringing one of the major missing feature to ProtonMail service.32 votes -

Private flag in calendar
My wife sends some invitations from her proton calendar to her work calendar which is based on exchange. She always has to edit these events in work calendar afterwards and set the "private" flag, so that the the details are not visible to colleagues.
We would need a private flag for events in calendar that can be set, so that it is recognized from exchange and other systems that the invitation/events hast to be set to private state and thus details are not visible in the foreign system. Setting this flag should also work via mobile app.31 votes -
Bulk editing of events to new/existing calendars
Select any number(shift click, shift drag) of events and move them to a custom calendar.
Another usefull bulk operation is moving the selected events by an amount of hours/days/weeks.
Bulk deletion is also usefull but with a context window warning, which might save people some headaches.31 votes -
Calendar: Have a setting for Start Time of the Day
When I bring up the calendar, it starts very early in the morning ( 3am). So, it would not likely show any of my appointments on the screen. I always have to scroll up to 8am. So I would like to see a setting for Day Start Time, so I could set the displayed calendar to start at 8am.

Create a "All Accounts" Inbox on App
Create a "All Accounts" Inbox on App
Like other apps such as Outlook or Gmail you have an All Inboxes, if we have multiple email addresses we have to switch accounts first, back and forwards gets very old fast. Why not show all emails in a combined Inbox for the accounts added to the App.31 votes -
Separate Proton Mail & Calendar from Uservoice
Separate Proton Mail & Calendar from Uservoice
User Voice currently groups Proton Mail and Proton Calendar orders as a single app...
However, I recommend separating both in UserVoice to better identify products and the quantity of requests per product.
As there are many who are already registered in a single TAG,
you can rename it to something like "Old Category" and create two new categories so that new requests meet the new criteria.30 votes -
Expand the limit on levels of sub-folders within ProtonMail
The current implementation of folders in Proton Mail allows for top-level folders and two levels of sub-folders beneath these.
I can understand that allowing an unlimited level may not be practical, but an increse from 3 to 5 levels would make it much more useful for sorting.

pop out draft message as a separate window
In the desktop ProtonMail app for Mac, which includes mail and calendar as different tabs/views, I really need the ability to pop out a draft message as a separate window while I am composing it. I often receive messages asking me to list my availability for a meeting. In Outlook, I am able to pop out the message so I can look at my calendar while drafting the message. In the ProtonMail desktop app, the draft is stuck in the mail view, so I need to remember or write down information somewhere else after looking my calendar.

Option to hide or rearrange unused categories (Views, Folders, Labels) in the left sidebar
While I can see how many people will use the Folders, Views, and Labels in the left sidebar, I only use Labels; I don't really have use for Views and I don't use Folders. I would like the option to remove them from the sidebar, or at least move them to the bottom of the sidebar so they're not taking up space above my Labels.
