Dark Theme in the android app.
would be great improvement. Current light theme shadings are not very distinguishing, and way to bright in dim lighting

I have seen some user created themes for web appearance. They still need some progress to remove stark color contrasts. That should not take too much work to polish a dark/grey theme, and then make it a fixed, alternative option.

On the other hand, Android appearance is currently pretty extreme, It all seems to blend in, plus a bit hard on the eyes. Android really needs a dark theme option. You could invite users to create theme recommendations, and either incorporate one of them, or use it as a base to refine it.

You could even start a contest for the best Android dark theme, with some free Plus months as the prize. :Let's you concentrate on more complicated areas, like maximizing security and utility. Cheers!

I would really like to see this feature being implemented. Shouldn't be complicated, just some CSS that can be enabled by one button. Nothing fancy :)

And the IOS app. I love dark theme, and have it on almost all apps possible, if we could get this for the mobile app that would be awesome

The standard theme is too hard to see clearly in normal daylight. Please offer a standard dark theme alternative option. I tried the user created themes for windows. But they are too extreme in contrasting colors. Most of theme continue with the standard white for the inbox and message fields. Are there existing alternate themes for the android app?

I find that I just need *some* theme. It's almost impossible to tell read from unread messages on the mobile app. I need some way to easily see what has not been read yet.

For dark theme it's possible to make override CSS in Settings > Appearances

Dark themes would be ideal and it would be easier on the eyes.
