IMAP whitout Bridge
Would it be possible to have the possibility of choosing an IMAP option that does not require to download the Bridge program? I know it means no encryption but I don't mind.
Proton by definition is an encrypted email provider. We won't be looking into solutions that are not e2ee.

I don't see a security problem. The Web app is using any browser with TLS. Same thing as with any mail program.
It's not mail if it doesn't speak mail. -

I don't see ProtonMail as a mailbox to be used for work.
Using the web version is + secure than installing bridge.

If you want to replace Gmail, this feature is a must. I'm not going to switch to a new provider who is even more locked down than my current one.

I agree with this!
I could bring hundreds of new customers (at least) if this would be possible. Everyone, incuding my best friends drop the idea when I tell them that they cannot use the native iPhone app because there is no public IMAP/SMTP available. They don't like GMail/Outlook but they are not willing to make such a huge sacrifice.
