Workaround of changing your display name is not a good workaround at all. I would like to either upload a custom image for my different Proton accounts in the Proton Mail iOS app, or at a minimum be able to choose from a set of in-app avatars so that I can readily visually tell my accounts apart. Both of my accounts start with the same letter so appear visually extremely similar when switching accounts, leading to possible confusion and error.

Not only has this been apparently years in the waiting according to the comments, but Lumo just sent me on a 40 minute hunt to find the avatar upload option, like it might have been a real existing thing.

It seems quite strange that this isn't already a feature. Importantly, I would want this to apply per email address I use on the same mail account. Would be useful if this could also apply to the folders I filter each address to, making it clearer which address's inbox I'm looking at.

I agree that adding avatars to email addresses would make communication feel more personal. Until that becomes native in ProtonMail, using a reminimodapkai.com that sharpens and enhances your profile picture before uploading can help. I’ve seen improved clarity in image previews after doing this, especially with low-res photos. Hopefully, Proton considers supporting profile visuals soon!

I, too, have a paid business account and don't see why this feature isn't already added? It's critical for businesses to stand out and with the price of marketing these days it will essentially boost what we are already paying for.

Yes, it was one of the few things I thought of during the first week of using the proton... Why can't I have a image in my account?

It would be nice to have my 25 year old avatar accompany my emails and identify me to my friends.
