I agree that if it were proton.com (which is unavailable and they tried to get it) or p.com, that would be great. But there's no need to say 'this would be better.' It can't be better, because this isn't about the devs not wanting it. If you think 'this would be cool,' then go get the domain for Proton yourself and donate it. Everyone will say thanks.

And the fact that pm.me isn't available to everyone and isn't recognizable is fine. What's the alternative, handing it out to every scammer so ProtonMail ends up on blocklists of tons of services and even entire countries? By the way, I can't even register a ProtonMail address with Chime bank, because they think scammers use an 'anonymous service.' And that's logical. In the past, people using Proton sent bomb threats and emails to schools and malls. As a result, many just added a service that refused to disclose user data to their blocklists.

So decide for yourself: do you want secure communication, or do you want service recognition?

I also use Surface on ARM and think it is the future for laptops. Would be nice to get the app on ARM and with autoupdates or at Windows Store.

Yeah, for the windows app it would be great. I want to use Windows Hello and have the autolock feature when i am out of my laptop. And need more flexible options for this. For instance i use auto unlock my laptop when my phone is near. So i don't want to unlock the proton mail app when my laptop wasn't locked after my last protonmail unlock operation.

Support told me that filtering by email body can’t be done on the server because the message body is encrypted. I understand that.

However, in the desktop app I can already search inside the email body by enabling the checkbox — which means the content is decrypted locally anyway.

Could you add the ability to apply filters locally in the desktop app, for cases that can’t be processed on the server? These filters could run on the client side, after decryption. My desktop client is running all the time, so this would solve the problem completely.

Please don’t suggest using Bridge or third-party mail clients. If I wanted third-party clients, I wouldn’t have moved to Proton in the first place. I want this to work inside the official desktop app.

It would be great to have the option to see folder sizes in Drive, and also the total size of selected files/folders. Right now you have to guess or open things one by one, which makes it harder to manage storage and understand what takes up space. Showing sizes directly (or at least on selection) would make the workflow a lot smoother.

The desktop client lacks a proper option to start automatically with the system. I can add it manually to startup, but then the app opens normally instead of minimized.

It would be great to have these options:
    Start minimized.
Show or hide in the tray.
    Minimize to tray or taskbar.

This is essential because many devs end up with both tray and taskbar icons unnecessarily. I usually minimize to the taskbar, but when I close an app it still runs in the tray in the background.

Alternatively, please provide launch keys/flags so I can create my own startup shortcut with these behaviors.
