Offline calendar
I don't really mind whether its a bridge to an existing app - Apple Mail, Lightning - or adedicated proton app but I need a calendar that I can use (rather than just view) offline. That means adding and editing events. This seems to me a pretty basic function, without it Proton Calendar is not much use to me. I am offline a lot of the time.

@zerelcharcix Apps like that already exist. If what you want is an entirely offline calendar (no syncing at all) then Proton Calendar just isn't what you're looking for. If you use Android, consider a free and opensource app like Fossify Calendar on F-droid: https://f-droid.org/packages/org.fossify.calendar

I'd like the option of a calendar that is also solely offline, one that doesn't have an online back up at all.

Having the option to view and add events while offline (like when traveling without service) feels like a basic need, and is super important!
In addition, allowing it to re-sync once back online would be a next step. -

I'd like to add also another feature related to this: when you set a full-day reminder/event on Proton Calendar it will ring at the time you decided in your settings (e.g. 9am). However when you travel across time zones that will not change according to your cellphone time zone, but will instead stick to the time zone you set initially.
It's critical to have the calendar follow your time zone, otherwise when you travel 4/5 time zones you have your full-day reminders ringing in the afternoon or at night, defeating the purpose of a full-day reminder!!Thanks,

This is absolutely critical but have been under review since 2022?

This is HUGE.
I can't use Proton Calendar until this feature exists. :(A local-access bridge similar to the Proton Mail Bridge seems reasonable here.

100% agreed. Offline access is an essential feature that Proton Calendar lacks

I second this. Offline access is an essential feature that Proton Calendar lacks.

They just updated the Proton Mail app so that you could write a message offline and it would send when you are connected again. So there is the functionality there for Proton Calendar to do the same with adding offline entries then syncing once connected to the served again.

Proton Calendar should have been originally made to be an offline calendar with end-to-end encrypted syncing of the data that is stored offline. Right now, this product is unusable to me as I am often outside of cell service. I wish I could make entries and it could later sync up to servers once I connect again to the internet.

I swear I've added events, but I cannot find them later. Perhaps they weren't added because I was offline and I missed the error message. Please make the error messages more prominent if you cannot make additions/edits while offline. This is very frustrating & I wonder if I'm losing my mind. This essential feature has been "under review" for almost 3 years!

Would really love this. Would love it if the Proton Mail+Calendar apps would cache / store my email / calendar data locally on the device (but still encrypted) so they could be used whether the device has internet connection or not.
I ack it's not a simple endeavor

I also need to add appointments when offline and have it sync up next chance it gets. Particularly on my phone.

I am running GrapheneOS with Proton Calendar installed. Is this also the reason why I cannot select Proton Calendar as the default calendar app?
