Edit events in an external calendar
Enable creating, editing and deleting events in external calendars.
Currently you can only add an external calendar as view only:
https://protonmail.com/support/knowledge-base/calendar-subscribe/
I have a Google cal shared with multiple people (they all use Gcal). We all add and update events and receive notifications. I would like to continue to do all of this but using my proton calendar.

Critical for us as well for many organisational workflows.

I have to make a loop via a Google calendar for work and this missing function is hindering a good work flow. Would be a great to have it!

I changed from Google and before I shared a calendar with the mother of my kids. We could both edit and make new appointments. But now its not possible unless I go back to google or she change to Proton. The later is not an option.
It would be very appreciated if its possible to share a calendar between Proton and Google so both of us can make new appointments. -

I support this. This would make Mail more usable as one could add events to GCal from there direclty. Also, others are using GCal and everyone won't join me on Proton. Therefore we need interoperability, and in this area it should be possible.

This would make me transition completely to Proton Calendar over Google.

Dear god, PLEASE. Why isn't this a normal feature? The Calendar app is already poorly functional compared to Google, but this just takes the cake.

Calendars is missing a critical function of allowing EDIT function of a shared calendar to non-Proton users. I have calendars setup with people that we manage together and if they are not on the Proton platform it is currently impossible (or I am missing the hidden settings).
1. Allow us to send shared calendar to non-Proton users providing View and EDIT capabilites! Should be able to share with iCloud, Google, Outlook, etc. calendar platform.
2. Allow us to accept shared calendars from other services when invited. -

This is critical for me as well. I Have to use Gmail for work and family calendar sharing so I am stuck using google calendar and can’t use proton. It is not possible for me to just use the proton calendar app to manage external calendars as well as my personal proton calendar.
In a perfect world I can connect to a google /Microsoft account similar to other calendar apps to manage them. Or similarly just for certain calendars add my protonmail account manage a shared calendar like I did with fastmail. It’s the one thing keeping me from using proton full time. And same with my work calendar. It’s a big ask but critical for adopting proton
