Set as default calendar on mobile
Android doesn't allow me to set the default Calendar app to Proton Calendar, only the stock Calendar or Outlook

How is that still not done ? i was sure it was me not finding how to do it, its really critical and major for the adoption of the calendar :)

As long as this doesn't work, I am tied to using google agenda and won't be able to switch to Proton. I have a couple of apps that don;t send email invites but offer to add into the calendar directly, but the 2 options I get are Google Agenda end Microsoft Outlook

A lot of websites also offer “Add to calendar” features which essentially create an ICS file to download. On iOS it’s critical that we have the ability to share those ICS files using the share sheet and import it directly to Proton Calendar.

This is an important and basic feature that is preventing me from being able to switch off of the Google Calendar completely.

this app will be explode in popularity once ics files automatically populate in proton calendar app. the masses, i.e., people who are not patient enough to add files through desktop will not bother with proton until there is seamless integration with apple products. love many features but ics incompatibility on mobile prevents me from recommending it to friends because their first ask in switch for privacy concerns relates to ui, compatibility, and functionality

Agree. An ideal way (for me) would be to be able to use the share feature and have Proton Calendar be the destination app.
At the very least, .ics email attachments in Proton Mail should offer a way to add them to Proton Calendar. -

Call me lazy, but having to type in every single detail is prone to mistakes, especially for autistic people and ADHD
