Email translator
It would be extremely important for Proton Mail to have a simultaneous translator to translate emails and, if possible, with integrated AI.

It's difficult for me to fully switch to Proton mail without auto translation options. However if AI integration will be part of it I will discontinue using Proton mail altogether.

As an artist receiving emails from all over the world, (this week Sweden and Japan) I need a build in translate option. Just copy paste in other apps, doesn't work with layout of emails. (only speak Dutch and English myself)
I used this function weekly in Gmail.

I receive emails in various languages and I can only understand German and English well enough to read them without a translator

Also i am an expat and a large amount of emails i receive are in German. Using the translation extension's in the browser doesn't work properly because my Proton is in english and the content of the email is in German. If i don't see this feature moving soon probably i need to find another email provider unfortunately.

This is the one feature I've been waiting for to start using the desktop app.

I really miss this feature. as an expat living in another country, it's a Gmail feature I used on a daily basis.
being able to display a message as is, translated, rather than having to copy paste it into a separate translator app, is a big deal. -

Being able to right click and select translate would be really useful.

Simultaneous email translation is a critical and basic feature that should already exist in Proton Mail

I would love to see a translate feature in Proton mail as an addon or a separate tool, a secure and private alternative to Google Translate!
Gmail has a really nice feature where you can simply click on "Translate to English" if the content of the e-mail is in another language, which is really useful.
As a person who moved to a different country and still learning the native language, receiving e-mails from public authorities or doctor, etc., in a foreign language and having to go back and forth from e-mail to a translate app can be a hassle so it would be really nice and useful to have this feature.

This would be a VERY nice feature. I travel a lot and get emails in many different languages. Now the only way to translate is use chrome and your web client.

We need to have a translation option within Proton Mail!

Email translations (don't care for AI) would be really helpful.

It would be convenient if there was a translator that could translate text from one language to another inside the mail client.

I explicitly do not want integrated AI (negative utility in its current state, feature bloat, loss of focus on core functionality).
Re: translations, there's no benefit to doing this within Proton Mail versus using translations built into your browser, especially assuming, like Firefox, those translations are private.

Of utmost priority and would add value to the product.
